methadone valium

It came up positive for benzos(Valium,Xanax,etc...). They do not tolerate u taking benzos and methadone,b/c obviously it is extremely dangerous. So they dropped me from 150mgs to 70mgs, which will for sure put me in withdrawal within the next 2days. I told the doctor it had been almost a month ago since I had taken this valium, and he might as well as called me a liar. We all know being drug addicts predisposes us to be liars also.

well ive woke up 2 no heroin for the first time, yes i took 30 mgs of methadone and 50 mgs of valium but heroin is not an option anymore , my stomach was turnin over but the methadone seems to have sorted that out, the valium has pretty much stopped the craving , i only have 30 mgs of methadone left and dont know wot 2 do with it, half of me wants 2 flush it down the toilet and half wants 2 drink it now and get rid of it, my plan though is 2 take 20 mgs tomorrow and 10 mgs the next day, didnt re

Yes started the Valium when stopped methadone the dr said he gave me the oxycodone cause he thought the pain would have been too much with the MS. I wish he explained it better to me. The oxycodone is why I have been having these waves of depression. I can't handle this depression alone am going for help next week. Will try to taper down as much as I can on my own. I still have no methadone in my system but that dr should have made it clear about the other drug.

Hi everybody and Merry Christmas by the way, I just want to ask , is it easier to come off valium than xanax or does it depend on the person or what, Right now I'm on Methadone for pain, (Arthritis and bone spurs in feet) and xanax for stress at my job, I'm out of work right now so I desperately want off the xanax then eventually the methadone, any advise?

opiates are a little different than benzos, yeah longer lasting opioids like methadone or suboxone are harder and longer to wd from lasting a month or more, methadone is a little harder than suboxone but both are brutal, i cant tell you how abd methadone wd's are..

I used to be on 150 mg of Methadone a day but cut way down to just 30mg/day and it was so tough! Now I'm mixing just 10mg of Valium with the current Methadone. It that mixture safe?

oxygirl487 - The last time i was prescribed the percs was over 5 months ago - I had 3 leftover and so took them while tapering over the last 4 days. I think I was so busy doing 80's that the percs just weren't good enuf for us. I'm a pill snob I s'pose .. lol. I got lucky(?), and have an appointment Monday morning with a sub/meth clinic -- they want me to lay off on Sunday, and show up in early w/d's for a 2-hr assessment, followed by dose. I got a very graphic tale of someone who lied about their last dose, and the immediate full-blown w/d's the misinformationist went into, so I got the point. hi guys, i recently started postin on this site after relapsin on heroin in november ,since christmas my habbit has been outa control, (£60 per day) ive tried over and over to cut it down but after 1-2 days im using the same again, i cant do anything without it wich is so hard because nobody knows iv relapsed ,the last 2 days ive been preparing to go cold turkey, im so determined now i cant fail, today i obtained 60 mgs of methadone and 50×10 mgs of valium i also have lots of vitamins , imodium

I'm on methadone mantinece and xanax 1mg 2x a day and they just did a test and sent out for breakdown, they are telling me valum came up in the test and i have NO clue why, someone please explain why this could have happened?

Well, Here is a little past, I'm 31 years old, Female. I have a 4 year old son and been on Methadone for 11 years. I have recently been told by my GP that I may also be BiPolar. He put me on Valium because I have SEVERE Anxiety and depression. I have taken everything under the sun for the depression. NOTHING works. I have been told by him that the Methadone might be hindering my diagnosis. That is neither here nor there, just info.

Welcome to the forum..I was in a methadone clinic here in Michigan...we were allowed to take pretty much anything if we had a rx for it..That is unfortunate that they don;t allow that..i am sorry..does your friend that gave you the "sample" take methadone? they tested for it at the clinic i was at to make sure it was in fact in your system..you need to really makes sure it is the right temp...I understand how bad it sux to not have take homes..Do you get a week?

Hi ya all, was reading other day About someone that used Klonopin to get of methadone, any thoughts on this, wouldnt it be like trading one for another. I do inted to do it the slow way dont worry but im not to up with klonopin, havnt tried it, is it strong enough to override methadone.

Sounds like they are shooting in the dark. She is on Valium and give her methadone. We know these are both CNS and respiratory depressants why would a doctor combine them? Did she try tapering off them? How many mgs is she on?

Went to sub dr. today. Good news - he says with my insurance subs will be $50 a month. I have to pick a day for induction. He says the longer I go without methadone before "induction day" the easier it will be. My question (that I forgot to ask him) is can I take anything like Valium or nausea pills those 3-4 days while I'm going without methadone before my induction? Or will this make me sicker on induction day?

Does anyone know if it is safe to take valium while you are on suboxone? My husband is trying to detox with suboxone and we need to know if he can take it safely. Also, the suboxone doesn't seem to be taking away his withdrawls, he is antsy, has rls, hot and cold, sneezing, nauseaus, very very sick. He has been taking 24-32mg of suboxone and I thought that was a really high dose. He was on about 900mg of oxycodone a day, so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone please help!

Hi, I can't answer sorry, I never had a problem with methadone. But 2 is very low compared to 200mg. Good on you for lowering your dose to 2. You may still have withdrawal but how extreme or not all depends on your body. Just get Clonidine and valium and take them together only when you absolutely have to, and don't use the meds any longer than 10-14 days. And only use when you do decide to withdrawal. Go lower if possible with your methadone before stopping.

Be very carefull. valium is a benzo, and the mixture between methadone and benzos are a deadly one. Please please please tell him to stop!!!!!!

You are coming off of steet dope and took methadone and valium? Those drugs are probably why you have not had withdrawl and it should be here by now. Heroin is a lot tougher than vicodin.

of methadone and 30 mg. of valium daily. Will someone let me know if this will curb my withdrawals from the norco. Or, am i in serious trouble.. I have to check back in with the doc in one week so i cant take more than prescribed. I dont think the methadone dose is high enough.

Congrats on jumping soon! I am not familiar with Methadone w/d as I am in Suboxone w/d which I hear is similar. If you stick around awhile the Methadone experts will be coming in to help you. In my personal experience going from an opiate addiction to adderal or benzos may not be the best idea, but I am no one to judge! if this is what your Drs are advising you then they probably know a lot more than I do!

Methadone and benzos (valium) can be a deadly combination. There are some instances where methadone and oxycodone are taking together in pain management. But that is only when the daily dose of methadone is very low. If someone is taking the methadone and oxycodone on their own, and is not medically supervised, it too may be deadly. It couild cause respiratory failure. Are you taking these 3 drugs?

ya know we are are not suppose to give taper advice but I would taper the methadone first as the Valium will help with the adjustments. Once off this I would work on the Valium it is a long slow taper like the methadone. the cigs I can not advice as I still smoke. I just want you to know you have been heard and will find a good niche here as we have many members that are going through the same thing..
