Regrettably, I've been an M.M.T.(methadone maintenance treatment) patient for about 10years, give or take 6mo's or a year. I have gained a significant amount of weight since the inception of M.M.T. I'm 31 yrs. old & take 140 mg's a day. I started out on super high doses, i.e.400mg's/day,then they split my dose @190mg's in the a.m. & another 190mg's in the p.m. for about the 1st 5yrs. After the 1st 5yrs.

many people complain of sweating when taking methadone . there can also be factors that make the sweating worse such as working in a hot kitchen, being on higher doses of methadone 85 mgs and over, if someone is overweight. vitadon is basically like a multi vitamin. not sure if it wouldhelp or not.

Hi, i have been on Methadone for 8 years. My dose is 270 mgs. I always suffered from constipation but the last few years i've gotten alot better. My main problem is the sweating!! Im in college and i can be doing absolutely nothing and start sweating uncontrollably! How embarrassing! Nobody knows I'm on Methadone And i would like to keep it that way!

t stop sweating until 10pm at night. I am not talking about normal sweating I am experiencing extreme sweats where I have a sweat rag by me all day and sweat through my clothes and my hair is constantly soaked for the sweat. This has been going on for 2 weeks now. Does anyone know what the hell is wrong with me? Is there anything I can take or do to get this sweating to stop? I really would appreciate anyone's input on this.

After about a day from not having any drugs in my system (methadone, oxycotton). Its horrible, like soaking wet, sweating all over. Is this common? im trying to wean down, from 15mg a day of methadone.. used to be higher. I was major in oxycotton before and methadone actually helps me focus and not withdraw. If i can wean down to 10mg, then cold turkey, how long would with draws last? a week?

Just the other day I was saying that I had weaned down from 50mg of methadone to 40mg in two months and was feeling pretty good. Except for some minor insomnia that was true. I think I may have spoke too soon. I have been forcing myself to go to sleep around 2am and keep waking up every hour and am having bizarre dreams. By 8am I have had enough and get up. Last night was really bad. I went to sleep with the AC on as it was quite hot out.

I have been ging to a methadone clinic for 90 some odd days and I know that sweating is a side effect bout I sweat so bad that it is embaressing. Summer is coming up and i dont know what im going to do. Ill be at work and everyone will be fine but I will be sweating like crazy. sweat just drips of my face everyday. Ill wake up in the morning and my bed and pillow is drenched. I heard that a vitamin called vitadone will help somewhat but this is ridiculous!

another issue im having is sweating really bad. i never had this problem berfore i started using and while im using i dont sweat. i no wen im WD i do sweat but 3 weeks later and im still sweating like a man lol has anybody else had this isuue and is there anything i can do??

but my Methadone intake has gone up to 40ish mg a day... if I go down to 10-20mg I sweat so bad I can't go out in public. seriously, I'm comfortable, but people would literally freak out as my head/face would be SOAKING wet. I want to be off this stuff so badly but bottom line I'm just scared. Scared of going back to vics, scared of w/d, scared of long w/d. Did I mention fear too?

some people have excess sweating while on certain opiates. Methadone is known to cause almost everyone to have increased sweating, I know I have that pretty bad, but for hydrocodone, it depends on the individual cuz everyone reacts different to each medication.

But I have been experiencing extreme vomiting and sweating associated with methadone and I am unable to find a doctor in Oklahoma who will help me! So if there is anybody who has experienced something similar PLease HELP! I never want to return to the hell on earth I experienced with opiates!!!!!!!!!

) The current dose he is taking is 30, as he said that he opted for a lower dose so that he can be tapered off within six months. He goes every morning for a liquid dose and group counseling. My question is that when I see him during the late afternoon he is very anxious, talking fast, but mixed w/ periods of tiredness. I've been addicted to methadone for 9 yrs. I buy from dealer. I take 30 mg. per day. I don't drink,smoke or do any other drugs. I cannot go to methadone clinic because it's far away and the hrs. conflict with my work hours. I am finding it increasingly difficult to pay for my methadone from dealer. I have to work so I can't go cold turkey. What are my options or do I have any other than cold turkey? Would a doctor help wean me off or not?

I have a 2 part question.. Ive now been clean off an 8 year methadone maintenance program for 19 days today, and am pretty much ok mentally, the only thing that still really bothers me is the freezing hands and feet and sweating REALLY bad under the arms, other than that, im pretty much ok.. 1. is that caused by high blood pressure, because i check my blood pressure and it was elevated so ive been continuing to take a .1mg colonodine a day to help. wondering if i should stop that? 2.

Will Suboxone kick out of my system any worse than methadone when sweating?? Also paying for methadone is killing me my insurance wont cover it..does insurance cover Suboxone if you can get the doctor to code it as being needed for pain?...and in this case it actually IS needed for pain as well as being needed for eventual tapering off of it and being FREE of everything which leads me to my next question...is there anything that will help with the pain that is NON-narcotic?...

Hello everyone, I’ve been on Methadone for about 4 years I take 40mg a day and sometimes 60 or 70 but I have had so many adverse reactions and it really isn’t helping with my pain. I have had problems with getting erect, sweating, hot and cold flashes, forgetfulness,being ill as hell, and now I’m starting to not care about anything!! What should I do?

Ive read up on methadone withdrawl and didnt see anything about long term sweat issues.. I went thru some profuse sweating for a couple weeks after quitting that I clearly associated with withdrawl, but most symptoms where very mild as I stepped down very gradually.... I got a job yesterday and start soon, so FIRST chance I get im gettin those tests as im convinced its my thyroid... Just got a strong feeling about this one.

I am on Methadone, coming down 2 mgs a week with occasional pauses to allow my body to catch up. Currently on 53 mgs, down from 150 mgs, been on since 2010. Just had a baby 7 MThs ago. I am looking into taking Vitadone vitamins for health reasons and side affects I am suffering with, Sweating in the face, sugar craving, inability to concentrate, etc... My questions are : 1-Whats the best brand? and 2- where do I purchase Vitadone, and do I need a prescription?( I doubt since its a vitamin) ????

I've heard of this. The only explanation I can think of is a person tends to start sweating when drinking to help purge the alchohol, and this will cause your body to go into a "purge cycle" that could cut into your dose time. Frankly, just about evrything you do cuts into a methadone dose. it's why the best thing you can do is minimize your input of any substances period, and try to stay on a regular sleep cycle.

What over the counter vitamins should you take while on MMT? Like Vitadone, but something at Wal-Mart. I've only found posts for withdrawal from methadone. I am not withdrawing, just want help with the sweating, sugar cravings, tiredness, etc. Please help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! I am currently on 120mg of methadone. I have been on methadone for five years. I have tapered down from 100mg to40 mg in the last two years. I have stopped tapering due to the with drawl symptoms; diarrhea, aches and pains, sweating day and night and restlessness. I want to start tapering again but need to find a doctor to help me treat the symptoms as needed. Is there a way to find a doctor that specializes or is familiar with methadone withdrawal.

My problem is I am constanly on fire and sweating profusely. I can be in a room that is 40 degrees and the sweat will soak my clothes. Frankly, I'm getting sick and tired of showering in the morning and 15 minutes later I'm soaked. Does anyone else have this problem or possibly know of something that I could do to prevent this? Getting off the Suboxone is not an option, at least not right now. Help!

So I'm nearing the end of day 6 and my w/d have all stopped except for the runs. However, for some reason today I have a small headache that started after I finished working out and I've been in kind of a weird haze all day. I'm actually wondering, if I took methadone 10mg just once while taking the hydrocodone (one week ago today) is it possible to w/d from it just using it once if you're already addicted to another pain killer?
