t have to do anything before my surgery. I am on 60 mgs of methadone daily. I also took narcotics as well as my methadone after surgery. The only difference is I don't have sleep apenia so id ask dr if its ok to take pain meds having that but if your on methadone than it should be ok.

I need some honest opinions please............ I recently started a methadone treatment program. I am doing the 6 month program. This is my 3rd day of treatment. I am starting at one dose of 30mg of methadone. Is this a good number to start with??? TOO HIGH of a number?? PRETTY LOW of a number??? ve taken 60 mg before except I did not take the methadone at the same time.But, only 60 mg did the trick, with methadone in my system, but not taken at the same time. How close am I to overdosing? I am lucky that in Scotland we have an NHS that pays for our treatment and they are of the opinion that a stable methadone user is much more use to society and less costly than an erratic drug addict. Methadone and methadose are the same medication. Methadose (40 mg and above) comes in wafers/tablets that can be broken in halves or quarters to reach the required dosage and can be dissolved in water before taking if needed. Methadone tablets/liquid are taken whole.
