Avatar m tn have you had blood work done? to rule out an infection in your body somewhere? too many times people have been on opiates and had infections, heart disease, kidney issues and because of the opiates cant feel the pain it would cause if they weren't medicated. low back pain and low grade fever, could be kidney issues. are you taking the methadone because of your past drug habit?
Avatar f tn Ok- I just learned that my mother who is diagnosed with hep c, end stage renal disease, receives dialysis 3x a week and is a methadone patient (100mg per day) has abused lortabs, tramadol, darvocet and flexirils (approx consumed 70+pills in one month) and eats phengran like candy..... Her nephrologist doesn't seem concerned- she had 14yrs of soberity that lead to a relapse after hystercotomy in which she started the methodone- 11years later all this has occured.
Avatar m tn I recently ****** up like an idiot and after a kidney infection was prescribed methadone 5mgs pills. I took about 40 mg a day for about 2 wks. Avatar n tn Hello, The symptoms are definitely suggestive of kidney disease. You should get an ultrasound kidneys and kidney function tests done to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn I would encourage both of you to talk with his endocrinologist about looking into possible changes that can bring his a1c levels well down below 7. That truly is his best protection not only against kidney disease, but against other complications. If sugar levels are maintained at near normal levels, damage cannot happen.
Avatar f tn I have a 14 year old cocker spaniel who was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. She originally got sick a few weeks ago with pacreatitis, and when she recovered her lab work showed the kidney problems. We have been giving her fluids every other night as well as the epakitin powder with her food. Her blood report was better this last time. However she seems pretty good, has a good appetite ect and I'm wondering if there is anything else that could be causing this disease?

Avatar f tn Hi there, about a month and a half ago I started feeling like something was always under both my ribs and it has been persistently like this and it's really uncomfortable, I'm also always itchy at night and have been feeling really dizzy and lightheaded constantly. I've went to my doctors and they took my bloods and all that came up was that my potassium levels were slightly high.

387767 tn?1345872027 Be sure to discuss all recommended vaccines with your veterinarian. A cat with kidney disease or kidney failure should not be vaccinated at all. Long-term feeding of an all-dry-food diet is also suspected as a factor in Chronic Renal Failure. Cats' kidneys are highly efficient and adapted to life in the desert, where they would get most or all of their water from eating their prey.

Autoimmune disease is in remission since I had all the mercury fillings removed from my teeth.
Avatar f tn I'm tapering off methadone, I'm done to 10mg, but now I'm having kidney pain. I've drank water for 2 days, thinking maybe I was getting a kidney infection, but it's not helping. It's not my back hurting its on both sides! I've come down from 45mg to 10mg in the last 10 days and I have 1 1/2 pills left. Tomorrow will be 10mg, the next 5mg, I'm doing it the best I can, but I dont understand the kidney pain.

Avatar f tn I have just recently been diagnosed with an unknown seizure disorder which left me with a stage 4 brain injury. I have Addison’s Disease, Sjogren’s, Raynaud’s, hypertension and blockages in my leg, right shoulder and left kidney.
