About a year ago i hurt my back (pulled muscle) i went to the doctor and he prescribed me 120 lortab 10 mg a month at first i loved it im a busy body i work 2 full-time jobs and i do construction jobs on the side. I felt great i could out-work most of my co-workers at both my jobs. After a couple months i noticed that i had to take the pills just to function normal. Mentally i didnt think that i could stop i had to keep up with both my jobs and my family (2yr old son & wife).
I agree with WalkTall. I had my Methadone prescribed and they knew it..However, there are some Jobs out there that will be very discriminated against it and use different excuses why they did not hire you. I know this happen to me. I was one of the first hired at a new place that opened in the nursing field. I went through the whole nine yards and passed. Was getting ready to work and I told the nurse I was tapering off my Methadone.
We have been working at getting life together while on methadone off IV drugs went from no jobs a bschlor apartment to great paying jobs and a 6 bedroom house full of nice things. Now were ready to tapper off methadone which is best to do rather than stop cold turkey. No offence but the worst is comming! Get a hold of gnarley on here he can help you with a taper plan. Its 10 percent down every 72 hours its better then cold turkey Hang in there it gets better!!
hi all, on day 10 of no methadone, finally hit my double digit.. doing ok, hoping im on the downward slope to normal. i actually planned a playdate with my friend later today - a big deal for me b/c ive had no energy & really haven't wanted to see or hang out with anyone since this whole detox started.. Also i slept for 3 hrs. straight last night - 2-5am, was excited thats a first for me in a while. ughhh i miss good sleep, methadone gave me such good sleep...
I was on heroin and then started taking methadone. Got into some legal trouble and knew I needed to get clean to avovid jail. I have 2 to 3 weeks before court so I went to a doctor to get on siboxone cause I heard it doesn't show up on opiod drug tests. After my 3rd attempt, failed again. Each time I was sent into immeditately near death withdrawals. I want to just give up and go back to methadone but if I get drug tested through court it will show up.
I have a huge opportunity with a job. Im perscribed to methadone ive been sober for 2.5 years now. Thing is.i have to take a drug test is there anyway i can past this drug test being on methadone. I need help asap pls,pls someone who has an anwser pls help me. What can i do to pass i need this.
Please dont think that I am being harsh on you here - - but its not the best time to be changing jobs. Methadone takes a long time to get over. Anywhere from weeks to months. Not sure about your sub position. Ideally you wouldnt use the sub for more than three weeks anyway. You may just end up swapping addictions. Look at the right hand side of the page. I really need a job i hate depending on others income and i need to start making sime money again. have any of you gotten jobs while being noticeably pregnant ? if so where at,and what type of jobs do you suggest? i have experience in fast food but i will never work at ine again (just my preference). Please leave some comments and let me know,i really need to start getting back on my feet again. thanks ladies!

My husband has 3 jobs. I have none at the moment due to a high risk pregnancy and my doctor don't think it would be wise to have me work. But I hate that my husband is gone from 4 am to 10pm every night Monday through Friday because he working. Than comes homes eats dinner and goes to bed. I know he working and supporting me and our baby but it drives me nuts he works so much. Than on the weekends he busy fixing his car or hanging out with his friends that I get shoved to the side.
I have gotten 2 jobs since being pregnant and I didn't tell either of them at the interview, I waited until I was hired and in orientation to tell them, it was a no brainer with my second job because I was already 30 weeks and showing big time
re hiring that are willing to take pregnant women because I apply to many jobs but they want pregnant women. only if they had been working there .. ***** how i can't work .
I was smoking 1 gram of H every day and now I am on 50 mgs of methadone a day. I used daily for about 8 months and did taper down to 1/4 of h a day for a week until I went into the clinic. I just started this treatment two weeks ago. I am also experiencing some pancreatic problems and I don't drink. I am in a financial hell situation. I have pawned items, I have 4 payday loans out I am going to have to start paying 80 a week for my methadone treatment and I cant afford my regular meds.
if people didnt take the methadone they would lose their jobs. i believe they keep people on much higher than needed doses and dont encourage anyone to get off. we have heard story after story. i heard the doctor at the clinic tell my husband, "nobody ever gets off methadone".
well he did and has been clean for 2 years and 9 months, he was 56 and went cold turkey at 20mgs. it can be done.
