Hello Lass,First off is this just routine,or is their some reason of diversion like due you work as a nurse ,and if so,are they checking only you or are you on a Methadone program and all they want to know is there any hydrocodone in yopur system to bebin with,as same not so bright addicts say that they are on this and that and when they run a urine screen,nothing shows up,even the drug that they say is their drug of choice.

there are expensive screens that can differentiate but i would tend to think it would not show up on a standard 5 panel screen....i do know someone who paseed their drug screen/5 panel where i work..she is a nurse on sub/with a scrip but did not want to get into the addiction thing so she did not say she took it....it came back ok...if it woulda come back bad..then she was gonna say something...
I have been on oxycontin 40mil and oxycodone 10/325 for 13 years . I did a random urine screen for the second time in 4 months and tested positive for marijuana and didn't touch the stuff and never failed one . Now I'm so scared there going to stop giving me my meds and I have severe nerve damage due to chemo that was left running in me for 2 1/2 hours longer than supposed to be . Sub doctors have a special test for this drug. At this point in time, it is not available to employment screens as it is very specific and very expensive. With time this will change, but not at this time
you have a prescription correct? If it showed up, u would be ok? I do understand not wanting to broadcast u r on sub...unlike methadone, it is not an approved pain med in the US. It is only approved for addiction so saying u r on it is a dead give-away

There is no way that a drug screen would come back positive after 13 days on one percocet. Especially just one 5mg tablet. They stay in your system for up to 3 days I use to take them and test negative 24 hours later. It depends on how much you are taking and how often but not even heavy usage would stay in your system for that long.
who is giving u the urine test? sub doesnt show up in an emplyment urine screen //only narcotics...ur sub dr has a test for sub tho..but it wouldnt be out of ur system in 3 days even had u not used it at all for three days...it takes a while as the drug has a long half life...urine drug screens for jobs test for benzos, pot, cocaine, narcotics (not sub tho) but i do think methadone shows up on most 10 panel drug screens..
every 2 weeks, dropping from 190mg to my present dose of 95mg. Today, I got a call from clinic saying I failed a drug screen (first one ever). It was a false positive based on my eating lots of poppy seeds in my food lately hoping that the minute amounts of opiates would help ease my drops. My counselor swears I used something, but I didn't. Why lie here, ya know.
So that is a very big incentive to stay clean, as if he is tested and found pos for even one urine or swab screen, he is taken OFF the list and put back to the bottom, for one year he has to attend groups and N.A. meetings ,etc.

Today, the clinic called us back, as we both have had "take home privileges": (6 bottles a week, the top of the line) and the Director herself met with us and told him that he had a positive urine screen last week for FENTANYL.
if i was to take the promethazine and my oxycodone isnt it possible that the meth in promethazine and the done on oxycodone could show up as methadone, it has to because i have never taken methadone in my life.
Last week I got a letter informing me I was dismissed from treatment from my Pain Clinic, after five years. Methadone did not show in my urine drug screen, despite the fact that I took methadone, literally every single day since the day it was prescribed (almost 4 years ago).

I was given a urine drug screen last night that tested positive for benzos. I have not been on any tranquilizers! My current medication regime includes Effexor XR 150mg bid, Seroquel 200mg, taking 400mg qhs, Betaseron 1cc qod subq. I was put on Bactrim last week bid for 5 days for a urinary tract infection. In May, June and part of July I was taking Trazdone 200mg qhs, but then switched back to Seroquel 200mg, taking 400mg qhs. I am confused as to what caused the positive test for benzos?
Dehydration will not effect a drug screen either. It is not rare for a urine drug screen to be in error. Unfortunately like so many other ppl that have erroneous drug screen there really is no recourse for you. I wish I had better answers for you.
Talk to the HR Department or your boss. Ask for more information. I too am curious as to what was found in your urine. Good luck to you.
Welcome to the forum..I was in a methadone clinic here in Michigan...we were allowed to take pretty much anything if we had a rx for it..That is unfortunate that they don;t allow that..i am sorry..does your friend that gave you the "sample" take methadone? they tested for it at the clinic i was at to make sure it was in fact in your system..you need to really makes sure it is the right temp...I understand how bad it sux to not have take homes..Do you get a week?
I'm pretty sure methadone would deff show up in drug test. It's a strong long lasting drug.
