Does anyone know of a website that has a list of doctors that give methadone for opiate abuse? Like....for suboxone...it's suboxone.com.............then enter zip code and go from there.... Does such a website, phone number, etc exsist? If so, where????? What is it??

Asking the clinic to refer you is pointless! They will never give up the names of doctors that are willing to prescribe Methadone. The reason is that if they did you wouldn't go there and pay their ridiculous prices. Ill tell you if anyone is looking to invest in a business Methadone clinic is the way to go! Get the Methadone for dirt cheap then charge the patients an obscene amount if money. Sorry its an observation.

Hi...don't be scared of doctors and medicine. I know what I am talking about. I am on meds for a long time now. Yes, you can have some mild side effects, but in time they will go away. Do not fight it, let it help you... Think about it this way; would there be 7 billion people on this world if we did not have meds...?

My name is mike I am 32 years old and I am a recovering drug addict who attends a methadone treatment center in Oklahoma! I would to start off by saying that methadone saved my life!!!! But I have been experiencing extreme vomiting and sweating associated with methadone and I am unable to find a doctor in Oklahoma who will help me! So if there is anybody who has experienced something similar PLease HELP! I never want to return to the hell on earth I experienced with opiates!!!!!!!!!

while the place got searched the police found some methadone 4000ml IN MY NAME ( i got 70ml a day and my partner 50ml a day , total 840ml a week ) what had built up over the last 11years and was in my loft out of the way of everybody.. anyway the police got intouch with my doctor and he stopped both mine and my partners scripts without even telling us. we was told there was letters in the post , which never came. he is going to phone you, which has still never happened..

could any Medical professional/doctors on here have any information about this, what does it mean if i get a EKG or ECG done and it is not normal i will have to flush my pain meds and then what? suffer in pain from on and bite on a piece of wood in my teeth...? thanks for the help...

Methadone is actually the therapy of choice for long term use of narcotics. Methadone does no to little damage to other organs compared to other analgesics and develops tolerance less rapidly while huge doses are even tolerated by non-naive opiate patients. May want a class or two in medical school before dissing a new Doc trying to get to your problem too quickly. And I am an end stge liver patient - been fighting this one for 13 years....I am familiar with pain.

i believe that the sooner we face our problems in everyday living we will recovery faster by blaming others it puts the focus on them and not me getting better i go through phases where i hate suboxone and methadone clinics,when i got on methadone i was still in high school, but i still knew it was bad, well i later found out how bad it really is, the same with suboxone, but at the end of the day, i know that i placed myself in the situation to be put on these drugs, it was my choice when oxies

t experience detox because the doctors replaced the methadone with another opiate the oxycodone. So you now have to come off oxycodone, which from what I hear is an easier detox than methadone anyway.

But I agree sharing your taper that worked for you especially in regards to meds such as sub and methadone is very helpful. Lets be honest, most methadone clinics and sub doctors will keep giving out meds as long as the money keeps coming.

Im almost positive that Doctors are prohibited from prescribing painkillers/methadone for anything other than pain; unless they have been granted special authority to treat addiction. From what I can gather this permission only allows certified doctors to prescribe suboxone/subutex ( not methadone). Suboxone could be a better option if you are seriously considering Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST). You should be able to find a private suboxone doctor nearby.

i know doctors provide suboxone for detox but i feel secure on methadone i know i wont use on it .i feel safe .and it works so im searching for a doctor to maintain me using methadone instead of switching my medication around. are there any doctors or pain clinics i can go to for methadone maintanance other than the clinic?

I changed pain doctors recently. The first gave me a Methadone script for 40mg a day (which I never filled (was written 20 days ago)...My new doctor gave me a Methadone script for 90mg/day which I filled on June 4th thru my insurance. I noticed that I'm short about 70 pills. This gives me enough till next fill date if I only take 40mg/day (ironically the same as the first doc was writing for me)..

I have gastroparesis, and GERD, and am on methadone maintenance. I noticed I started having problems as soon as I started the Methadone Clinic, 3 yrs ago. I recently had an endoscopy and waiting on the biopsy results. I'm so sick of not being able to eat anything. I'm living off of oatmeal and can't over eat. But it's not over eating because I've been starving. I can only eat a small bowl of oatmeal before I take my methadone and then another small one for lunch.

i need to find out if i am able to go to subox from methadone..25mg meth doctor ***** also i cant work out if you can have a drink or two, ive heard you cant.

its very important, not just methadone but other scripts, doctors seem not to know a whole lot about drug interactions, your life depends on it, if you cant find anything on line call the pharmist i think i spelled it wrong sorry, but they know more about interactions then the doctors do, thank you John.

HI in most states you do need a special license to write methadone but a lot of doctors just dont mess with it because it is so contravsal it will be ez to get off the fentnal and most doctors will then move you to hydro from ther making the withdrawal ezer ........methadone is the hardest of the narcotics to come off off due to the long withdrawal period what your doctor is doing will help eaz the pain keep posting for support and let us know how this turns out for you good luck and God bless..

t want the baby to be born addicted to methadone. but some doctors will keep you on the medicine because it might harm the baby if you come off of it.

Finding a doctor who will write scripts for methadone isn`t easy. I`m stuck now having to go to a methadone clinic and having to detox and withdrawl off the methadone. Methadone is one of the worse drugs to come off of and it takes a long time too. In my opinion, if you can get by without going on methadone you will be better off. Worked great. After about 50 lortab 10s (100 1/2s) I weaned down and off! Except for "jimmy legs" and chest muscle cramps I had few problems EXCEPT CONTINOUS INSOMNA! Im up all nite tossing and turning. When wifey leaves for work I'll fall asleep for a few hours. Plus side: I have amazing energy I've missed for 10 yrs. sex drive like a 20 yr old. These pain doctors who RX methadone are idiots IMHO. they have no clue of the physical dependence of this drug.

And never again did i try methadone after that. I had 2 friends die in jail from methadone withdrawls. The goverment knows the long term side effects of methadone. That's why they make u sign this paper that says u can't sue the clinics.

HI you can get methadose from a doctor and pick it up at a pharmacy it is methadone in pill form methadone is usually liquid and is dispensed at clinics you have to go every day to get it most doctors cannot prescribe methadone hence why so many go to the clinics this is nasty stuff I was on it 6 1/2 yrs I would run the other way if someone ever offered to me again it is not a way to get around withdrawals methadone withdrawals are some of the worst you can experence your best off to detox wha

My nephew is a methadone baby....I don't think methadone would be best choice.... I feel for u in this time.... you can do this ..,your not alone and when you go through withdrawals talk to us... scream, whatever..its not going to be easy... but I believe you want this!

Been on methadone for back pain from my doctors. I’m now on 20 mg and doctor wants to taper me in 3 weeks to come off completely . I’m scared cuz I’ve been on for 15 years and I think he’s making me taper too fast.

Methadone and benzos (valium) can be a deadly combination. There are some instances where methadone and oxycodone are taking together in pain management. But that is only when the daily dose of methadone is very low. If someone is taking the methadone and oxycodone on their own, and is not medically supervised, it too may be deadly. It couild cause respiratory failure. Are you taking these 3 drugs?
