I keep hearing about methadone clinics and suboxodone and narco, what are these and how do you get into a methadone clinic? Does anyone now about if there are methadone clinics in seattle or the surrounding areas? And if the suboxodone and narco help with withdrawls where or how do i get them? thanks so much for taking the time to read this.

Have you ever tried anything like vitals or healthgrades to find a doctor? I've had luck with that. What do you need to see a functional medicine doc for? What is going on with your health??

There is a clinic near the fair grounds. As you know methadone has a harder withdrawal then heroin and anything else. Just a suggestion but have you thought of trying buprenorphone (suboxone) unlike methadone suboxone dont appear to cause a delay in ur psycho-motor or cognitive performance. It is highly lipid bound and it provides a reservoir of medication that can control opioid withdrawal symptoms for extended amounts of time.

Im almost positive that Doctors are prohibited from prescribing painkillers/methadone for anything other than pain; unless they have been granted special authority to treat addiction. From what I can gather this permission only allows certified doctors to prescribe suboxone/subutex ( not methadone). Suboxone could be a better option if you are seriously considering Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST). You should be able to find a private suboxone doctor nearby.

Is there anyone who has been on some of Dr.Vorobiev, s clinics. They use both the UROD and rapid detox (Waismann Method). I wonder what experiences anybody who have been at detox there, or at a similar place. They have also a place in Mexico where several people from Florida has been. I need help finding a free methadone clinic in tampa florida. My uncle is suicidal almost out of drugs freaking out that it is so near. He is currently using apprx 70 mg daily. I have been searching on line to find something and keep going in circles. Is there any govt. programs that you have heard of? He is currently jobless, broke and desperate. I can relate to your fears of getting off methadone, I was so scared that I stayed on it for 5 years, which was insane! I should have never stayed on it for so long, but it is what it is.

I am still being prescribed the methadone but only through the methadone clinic which I have to go to everyday and it's wearing me out! The doctor there doesn't prescribe it in pill form. I asked my PCP about prescribing it in pill form for me but he refused. They gave me Savella (Rolls eyes) ...side effects were awful and my insurance didn't cover it. So I'm searching for a doc that will script it for me so I don't need to go to the clinic everday.

a lot depends on the lab some dont even send them out to save money they send like every other one or every 3rd they also get mixed up I came back for cocaine and never touched the stuffv will on methadone cost me 20 bucks to get it cleared up or no take homes at best the methadone clinics are run slopy she will get busted for the benzo though sooner or later and most clinics have 0 tolerance for them so beware...........

Have you been able to locate any pain clinics? What about your previous doctor that prescribed it? Is he or she able to give you any referrals? It may help if you have your records so you could show any new physician how you've been treated in the past. I think sometimes it's hard to find someone to prescribe methadone for pain. There seems to be some controversy over it in some places. I know my pain clinic does use it in some pain patients, though not a lot.

if you find one, let me know, my husband was in a MMT clinic in Gadsden alabama for 6 years and got kicked out because he disagreed with the doctor there. He then went into Pain Management, because he has a legitimate chronic condition. He received Methadone there for over 2 years, then the doctor cut him off COLD TURKEY (january 2008) because he was of the opinion that he wasn't taking his meds.

t paying anything for the methadone so I am a bit perplexed by what you claim is happening to you. I take methadone as prescribed by a doctor so I do go to clinics and I only pay 3.24 for 240 10mg pills. I used to take much more than this per month but I stepped myself down slowly as I'm not a druggie who depends on pills to get by. I am now down to 20mg to 30mg per day leaving me with about 15,000 mgs in reserve so that I control my fate.

The doc said that she makes the decision of whether or not he is good candidate My question is many people at methadone clinics have hep c and continue their methadone treatment saying that it helps. Methadone is a rough detox,but it is do able.I was on it for about a year and a half.I went c/t off of 25 mgs and I have been clean for a little over a year.There are a few of us here who have successfully done it and you can do it too.How many mgs are you taking presently?

Only take methadone if prescribed by a doctor. You have to be monitored closely with it. Have you looked into any methadone clinics in the community? If that is not an option,,stay away from the methadone and try and just get off the oxy/Norco. Don't add methadone in the mix at all. Why are you taking the Oxy/Norco? Pain issues? Recreationallly?

Honestly this site is mostly filled w/ people trying to kick the methadone so we aren't big on recommending clinics. I assumed ur a grown up so if that's a decision you wanna make then just Google it. But having been on done for 5 yrs I wish someone would have told me to stay away! Good luck!
