Avatar n tn Would bradycardia be a help or a hindrance with regards to mitral regurgitation? bradycardia between 40-50 bpm awake but resting, lower when sleeping. MR of unknown severity....
Avatar f tn Is my bradycardia normal? Am I at risk of getting a worse (symptomatic) bradycardia? I never smoked, I never did drugs, I rarely drink alcohol. I weight around 154 lbs and I'm around 5.
Avatar n tn I just got my results from a cardiac event monitor. I have tachy-brady syndrome. Can anyone please explain these terms. Bradycardia with SVPB's? Ectopic atrial rhythm? Sinus bradycardia with junctional beats? Any info would be so helpful.
Avatar n tn I also have "bradycardia" with a resting HR of 48. My BP is also lower, in the 96/54 range. I have attributed mine to being a cyclist and runner, altho that has never been quantified. In terms of sleep apnea, I do not know if that would be the cause. If you have had the apnea for awhile, then I would be hesitant to link the 2 since it sounds like your HR just recently dropped. Your attempt to stop smoking (congrats!

Avatar n tn d him for football this year but says he wants all test done again next year before he enters highschool. He also wrote down Bradycardia on the physical. The Cardiologist never said that before. I want to know if you think it's ok to let him play this year or should I have the test done this year. I'd never forgive myself if something happened.
Avatar m tn I developed severe bardycardia (36 bpm), which is what eventually led to the discovery of the lymes. I was wondering if anyone has had the severe bradycardia and after treatment for lymes the bradycardia is completely gone? I am currently on week 5 of the antibiotics and my heart rate is now in the mid to upper 50's at rest, a great improvement. I have been here for a couple weeks and was wondering if it will continue to improve as i have 7 more weeks on the antibiotics.
765775 tn?1366024691 I am a 44 year old male that has had 13 orthopedic surgeries in the last two years. The most recent was an ankle reconstruction that has had me in bed since 2/18/09. I have high blood pressure and have been on Cardizem CD 240 and Hyzaar 100/12.5 for about 17 years. I also have mitral valve prolapse. My resting heart rate has always been around 60 even before medication as I was a weightlifter and football player when I was young.

Avatar m tn I take florenef to raise my blood pressure. I have have no symptoms related to my bradycardia . My primary care doctor took an EKG and said it is a concern if I have a resting heart rate of 38 while at the office. She told me if I were sleeping it would be exceptable. My cardiologist said I would eventually need a pace maker but if I'm not symptomatic I should not worry. My question is should I worry? Is there a danger? What should I do?
Avatar m tn For about one month I have noticed that while lying on my left side (I'm a side sleeper) my heart rate drops from normal 60-70 to the thirties. No associated symptoms of pain or sob. I can feel the drop within my chest. Turning to my back or right side resolves the bradycardia. I'm sure I sleep on my left side during sleep and I'm still alive. Probably ready for cardiology consult but any suggestions or answers out there?
Avatar m tn Nocturnal bradycardia is normal during sleep. Bradycardia in this range is only a problem if associated with sympotms of lightheadedness, dizziness, passing out or nearly passing out.

10175413 tn?1427170251 Patients also taking beta blockers, or those with underlying cardiac comorbidities and/or advanced liver disease may be at increased risk for symptomatic bradycardia with co administration of amiodarone. Bradycardia generally resolved after discontinuation of HCV treatment. The mechanism for this bradycardia effect is unknown.
Avatar m tn Well, so far all my work-up for a cause to my bradycardia with trigeminy has been negative except for mild hypothyroidism. Is there a correlation there and will supplemental thyroid hormone amend the condition (bradycardia)? I am still easily fatigued and ironically, have more symptoms at rest rather than when I am up and about.
Avatar n tn I'm a 21 year old female and I got diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia a month ago... since I have been having chest pains & feeling fatigue. Just wondering if there are any precautions I should take since I don't know much about this disorder.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a Latino female about to turn 40, I was recently diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia. I am not in good shape, I haven't exercise for a year. I am not overweight and don't have any other health problems.
Avatar m tn I recall a heart rate below 40 (talking average person) is entering the danger zone and is called bradycardia (in fact 49 is bradycardia, but only marginally). I have read of some people being okay with a resting HR in the 40 range and they have no symptoms and seem to not be in danger. Again, 23 is way too low.. then too how accurate is your measurement, how are you measuring?
351404 tn?1299489130 I have PAF and lately bradycardia. To counteract the former, I was put on 10mg daily Bisoprolol. The specialist who did this also is recommending a pacemaker to counteract the bradycardia, but I read on the leaflet for Bisoprolol that this drug slows the heartbeat. I am really puzzled as to how these two can be side by side, ie why a drug to slow the heartbeat and a pacemaker to speed it up? My surgery doctor has just reduced this to 7.5mg (to see what happens).
