IM A little confused are you using methamphetamine or methadone....its not uncommon to gain weight on methadone not much you can do about it till your ready to quit I lost 70 lb when I went off it 15yr is a long time but we had a guy that was addicted 17yr do it and a girl who had 12yr on it...

After reading this I went back and read your other post. When you talk about Meth are your referring to Methamphetamine or Methadone? Because the "voices" you hear and the turning off of the light so no one can see you seems like you would be talking about methamphetamine. If that's so, you may want to seek professional help. I grew up with many friends on methamphetamine who started hearing voices while on meth and they continued even after quitting.

If your son is going several days with no sleep and not eating,he is into the speed.If he is taking methadone,he could,drop of to sleep at a moments notice,only to shake his head and wake up again. Also,ones pupils will get large on the speed,and smaller on the opiates.Check out these symtoms and get back to this forum,we will try to help you when you KNOW what he is taking,and possibly if he is injecting the speed.I have been hooked on both over the years,so may be of some help.

Normally when someone takes Methadone they nod off and my experience with Xanax is it can make you forgetful and sleepwalk and fall asleep wake up the next day not even knowing you had slept. Hope this helps...

Methadone is synthetic herion, and it's long acting, and very easy to over dose on, because you don't think you feel it. I suggest you send it back and get something else, it's the worst withdrawal ever. If you keep it don't play with it and take it as directed. It's been 2 weeks since my last one and i'm still feeling it.

I am on methadone maintenance program and get tested monthly. I honestly have never done amphetamines. Only thing I have done is smoke a little weed. I have checked all websites for possibilities as to why this could occur and I have not taken any of the meds that can cause a false. I am really baffled as to why I tested positive for amphetamines when I've never taken them or any cold meds that could test positive for it. Anyone know why this could occur??

ive been clean for a year of methadone, but my so called friends back in the day would shoot dope, one of them had a absess. You need antibiotics for the first two or three days and a hot warmer and place it on the abscess as much as possible. Shooting dope in the neck is extremely dangerous.

i am not prescribed methamphetamine. while yes methamphetamine is highly addictive and highly abused. IT CAN BE PRESCRIBED FOR ADHD AND WEIGHTLOSS. Meth is a schedule 2 drug which means that it has a HIGH POTENTIAL FOR ABUSE but HAS MEDICAL USES. I dont believe it is used much at all but it is out there under the brand name of DESOXYN. i was curious if anyone out there was taking it. cocaine is schedule 2 as well. They can be prescribed.

I know amphetamine is the metabolite of methamphetamine, when you ingest meth, you have both methamphetamine and amphetamine in your urine, hair, or nails.
