Avatar m tn X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.) medications used include metaxalone, valium and ibuprofen. stiffness has remained constant, w/ a reduced ROM when flexing my neck laterally. I also occasionally experience shooting pain up the left side of my neck when i rotate my head in that direction. Neck remains inflamed and "cracks" often.
Avatar n tn Talk to your doctor, I think even Tylenol PM would be better than valium. Valium taken regularly will make you forget stuff and you may have brain fog already.
Avatar m tn s hypnotics mostly used for insomnia like temazepam, halcion, tranxene, flurazepam(roofies), and then theyre the anxioltyic benzos usually prescribed for anxiety, panic disorders, sometimes depression, insomnia like xanax, ativan, oxazepam, clonazepam, diazepam(valium).
Avatar f tn The two most common drugs are, indeed, valium (diazepam) and Klonopin (clonazepam). Xanax and Valium are short-acting and clonazepam is long-acting. My preference would be for the longer-acting clonazepam. The longer acting benzodiazepines, although still highly addictive, tend to have less ferocious withdrawal syndromes. Xanax (alprazolam) is notorious for it's addictiveness and severe withdrawal symptoms.
Avatar f tn t taken 3 at night for over 5 years as my pain worsened and I now take morphine and oxycodone along with an antidepressant, gabapentin, and valium for all my ailments. I have noticed that now that 7 years have passed while still on flexeril, the drowsiness is very mild and lasts only for a short while shortly after taking the medicine. Sometimes I don't notice any drowsiness after I take it. So there is a good chance that the drowsiness will go away or lessen over time.
Avatar n tn I take meclizine for the nausea, valium for the brain shocks, and now Seroquel for insomnia. Valium I can quit cold turkey(long half-life). Its seroquel that has me concerned because it antagonizes many parts of the brain that Remeron does creating a sedative effect possibly making it addictive. Am I robbing Peter To pay Paul???? Has anyone had experiences with Remeron(mirtazapine) or Seroquel (quetiapine). Particularly withdrawal Experiences.
Avatar f tn My question is regarding my experience with anziety medication. My first was Valium a very low dose, it worked great, on a as needed basis. I was also taking Zoloft and the two combined was perfect. That doctor ended her practice and I ended up at a different dr. who prescribed me ativan and Zoloft, would not prescribe me the valium. Adventually I came off the Zoloft due to the side effects.
Avatar m tn we taper it with a big dose of Valium... cut to 6 mg of Klonopin + 80 mg of Valium a day, who was a lot sedating at first. I was able to cut very fast my Klonopin dose and be only on the Valium 40 mg a day... and was down to 10 mg day of Valium after 4 months... the withdraw was horrible... had panic attacks all the times... I stop all the benzo meds for 3 weeks but had to be back on the 10 mg of Valium cause of the panic... The panic stop but the social phobia return with vengeance...
Avatar n tn Xanax and Ativan are both benzodizepenes, anti-anxiety medications in the same class as Valium and Klonopin (which I take). All of them have different half lives (how long they last in the body) and the potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it depends on the half life. The half life of Ativan is short but much longer than that of Xanax which is really meant for occasional use for panic attacks. Ativan can more safely be taken everyday on a regular basis.
232264 tn?1191248480 If i took the valium i didnt know what to expect because that valium made me real drowsy so thats why i just want to take it at bedtime. I'm not comfortable with the amount he gave me either. BTW no insurance brand name valium was 210.00 !!! See i feel bettrr now that i took this .25 xanax ...
Avatar m tn Klonopin (Clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine not a derivative, ask you Pharmacist and they will tell you that. It is in the same class as Xanax, Ativan and Valium and the reason it is used for seizures is it had a longer half life then the others and is a better choice. Consider a person that has seizures, they are most likelygoing to have to take something every day for a very long time. Do you want to take a med that lasts 8 hours or 4?
Avatar m tn //anxiety.emedtv.com/valium/valium-warnings-and-precautions.html Some warnings and precautions to be aware of prior to taking Valium include: •Valium is a controlled substance, which means that it has the potential to be abused. There are special rules and regulations for prescribing and dispensing Valium. Valium is generally not recommended for people with a history of alcohol or drug abuse (see Valium Addiction).
Avatar f tn My dr put me on diazepam to relax my uterus as I had an allergic reaction to the meds he gave me to stop my preterm labour. But I read on google diazepam is valium and bad when your pregnant. Has anyone been on this before? Was baby ok when born?
200277 tn?1214663674 I don't have any personal experience with valium, but from what I have learned from others here you don't just stop this type of drug, you must taper.Hang in there someone will come along who has the answers your in need of.Peace.
