Avatar f tn Please be aware that stress testing have a LOT of false positive results. If you were able to exercise at 13 METS and didn't have chest pain, that sounds very reassuring.
Avatar f tn Is anyone else pregnant and and suffering from a mental illness. I'm having such a hard time dealing with this, on top of the hormones. I haven't been on meds, and refuse to take any for obvious reasons. How can I take the stress off of the baby?
Avatar f tn Do something that makes you happy. My mental health counselor has told me to find a hobby that doesn't allow me to train myself in my head so I don't over think the situation.
Avatar f tn My family doc feels it due to stress/anxiety and so my neurologist went ahead and prescribed anti-depressants but ordered the testing to see if it is stress or something else. I haven't gone through all of the testing as of yet, but had the consultation. I really liked the doctor. she basically just took my history and went into depth about my symptoms.
Avatar n tn How do I keep my stress in check? We recently started trying and I am having major breakdowns about once a month. I have been hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism and I have very irregular periods so I feel like I have too much going against me. And breath! I have an appointment with a RE in a little over month but need to at least make it to that point without another breakdown.
Avatar n tn Not really that easy to test. There are some tests, but none that would be that readily available and it's unlikely they would really be accurate other than for that one moment in which you took the test. Levels will vary by the hour, day, week, month etc. Also, it's unclear that it would be useful.
Avatar m tn Don't laugh. The nice part of these forums is the opportunity to learn things that are pretty tough to discuss with other folks, for obvious reasons. With that said, as non-experts I think lots of us read the symptom pages and then start stressing over every little detail we feel in our bodies. Concern, regret and amateur diagnosis all rolled into one. I've read your information that oral insertive, no protection, to finish is very low risk even with an unknown partner.

200220 tn?1361951554 I hope I can state this right. I have hashimoto disease. I am on 88 mg of Tirosent. This has been a long term disease. This forum has brought me through and educated me where doctors couldn't help. I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me their symptoms. I was told by my previous endo that she thought I had other problems beside the thyroid. To me that is irrelevant as I need help not suggestions.

Avatar m tn And also could you please elaborate on your symptoms? Some amount of stress is essential for day to day functioning but if gets out of control it can lead to numerous physical and mental problems. I would suggest to you to please relax and try to make a list of all things that are causing stress in your life. This way you will know how to you can deal with each one of them. Also do some breathing exercises, go for short walks, eat regularly and take a mild tranquiliser at bedtime.
Avatar m tn Stress and anxiety can cause so many symptoms, it would be nearly impossible to list them all, but the ones you've mentioned are very common. To answer your question, yes, stress CAN make you feel unwell every day. And if left untreated, it can cause some very serious mental and health issues, I suggest you see your doctor for a complete physical and discuss therapy to help you learn to deal with stress............
Avatar f tn Hi, As a neurological cause of the brain fog has been ruled out for you, the reason could be a simple one like Nutritional deficiency, Anemia, Hypoglycemia, Hypotension or Stress. It seems you have not gone for the routine investigations. Please consult a physician for the same. Please take adequate rest and exercises, eat a well balanced diet and take good sleep at night. Keep yourself away from stress. It may aggravate the symptoms. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
Avatar n tn //www.uhs.harvard.edu/Resources/HealthInformationByTopic/SexuallyTransmittedInfections/HIVTestingServices.aspx HUHS offers both confidential and anonymous testing. We test for HIV antibodies, not for the virus itself. The time it takes for a person to develop antibodies for HIV in the blood is called the window period. Getting tested during the window period might yield inaccurate results. The window period varies from person to person.
