1344131 tn?1276293185 no it does not it can mean ur period is getting off to a slow start i would wait 2 weeks if still no real flow take a hpt or go to doc for a blood pregnancy test
Avatar f tn I actually had some very long cycles like that for a period of a little over a year (period every 3 months) due to a slow thyroid. Have you had anything like subtle weight gain, dry skin, melasma (dark spots appearing on the face), little bit of depression???? all of these are symptoms I had, I'm sad to say. This was several years ago and it did self correct for me. At this point, I'd go to your doctor, take a blood pregnancy test and talk to him about why you are this late.
Avatar f tn Serious question...im 37wks & ive been having like menstrual period cramps the whole night & followed by a horrible back pain.. Ive also had dome type of discharge but it looks more like water just clear & thin... Could this mean im ready for labor or is it just something normal?? What do i do?
Avatar n tn t actually going through the full menstrual cycle (in terms of shedding the lining of you uterus) which would be due to not having enough hormones to stimulate your body TO actually shed the lining; this can signal a problem with your pituitary gland. The other reason could be that you have lost a significant amount of weight and you have recently gained some weight, without fat on your body, you cannot produce the hormones needed to power the menstrual cycle.
Avatar f tn Since there is a heartbeat and fetal size is where it should be is there any need to be concerned? Could this just be the start of a miscarriage?
Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome. Well, sorry for your miscarriage. Those always stick with us in terms of emotions surrounding them. What did your doctor say regarding your lack of period for 3 to 4 months? You aren't pregnant so something 'else' is causing this. I had very long cycles for a time period in my late 20's due to a slow thyroid. Actually it was every 3 to 4 months! and I had pms symptoms during that time. Quite frustrating. Could you finally be having a period?
1793094 tn?1315374636 I really don't know when should i start counting my menstrual cycle, should i start already from the beginning of my period or the last day of my period?
Avatar n tn A menstrual cycle starts with ovulating then your period so your menstrual cycle can start at any time generally if you are breastfeeding it comes 2 to 6 months after giving birth. So what I would recommend is have sex as much as possible because you have a 3 day period to get pregnant. And if you want to get pregnant as soon as possible try to get pregnant on your first menstrual cycle.
Avatar f tn My period was suppose to start on August 29th, but it started on August 24th when I thought it may be implementation bleeding. Do I count the 24th as my first day of my last period or the 29th when it was scheduled to come on?
Avatar f tn ve had like a never ending light period for a reallyyyy long time, and the pill is supposed to keep me from getting my period for every three months. so it's really not feeling much better. I was just wondering how the pill is supposed to help.
Avatar f tn i've been spotting a little bit,a tiny bit of brown for 4 days now... no sign of period, and period is due in like a week, or a week and a half.. no menstrual cramps, and the spotting didn't get heavier. sore breast some times.. can it be implantation bleeding? or slow coming period? or something else?
484267 tn?1239037973 The first day of my last period was May 2nd and the first day of the period before that was March 27th to April 1st.....someone explain.....
Avatar f tn s always a possibility but generally the best chance is two weeks before the start of your next period. So roughly in the middle. Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their period. Sperm can hang around for a few days though and the egg takes a few days to journey through the tubes. So a week either side of ovulation is also a good time, or bad time depending on whether you are trying for a baby or not.
1722885 tn?1309474656 You can't get pregnant without a period because that would mean you are not ovulating. I suggest you make a doctor's appointment with your Gynecologist to find out what is going on and they can put you on the birth control pill or something else to kick start your period and get that going. Hope it goes well.
Avatar n tn Could it be something wrong with me for me not to have a menstrual cycle for the month of june? I been getting cramping for the past couple of days and I always have those come before my period comes. Please help.
6873109 tn?1385614660 They last anywhere from 30-60 seconds, sometimes more, and the ones they tell you to wait to go in with are ones that steal your breath away and make it to where you have to concentrate to get through it.
Avatar n tn My fiancé and I have been trying to have a baby but my period just can't function with me i start one month last up to 11 days ! & skip my next period & then start the other month. Sometimes its a normal period but I am aware that if I don't ovulatie I won't be able to have a baby , I need help any similar cases ? With now a baby or any suggestions ?
Avatar f tn My vomiting episode used to start one or two days before period and last for 1-2 days during period. Doctor treated me for H-Pyroli bacteria and asked me to slow down. They missed or never did pelvic exam for cyst. Ask your friend to see Gyn.
Avatar m tn Consult a gynecologist to rule out hormonal imbalance and PCOD. A day before your period is supposed to end, start Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. See if this helps. Take care!
3166367 tn?1343912934 I have had surgery to remove it and Im now going to a fertilty clinic to preserve before I start chemo... again pls pls do not ignore the fact that your cycle is coming that often..
Avatar f tn I know I had implantation bleeding about 4 days before I was due to start my. period. I have resf yhays iyd bext to rest 1 week after a missed period. My obgyn told me the same thing. i took a cb easy and first reaponse test they both were neg. I told my obgyn and she said it was too soon. .I just wonder why some preg tests cant pick. up the Hcg sooner. Is waiting a week after you miss your period normal!
Avatar n tn I had my baby 3 months ago. I breastfed for 1 month. I have yet to start my period. I usually get cramps in the morning, but nothing happens. Should I be worried? When will it start?
Avatar f tn I would say if you don't start your menstrual cycle like normal in a couple of days. then to wait until you miss your next menstrual cycle and take a pregnancy test. also if you have any type of bleeding that is not your regular menstrual cycle that could be a sign of pregnancy. so I would try to wait and then take a pregnancy test.
Avatar f tn Was it your period or was it the normal bleeding associated with giving birth? Because after birth, bleeding lasts anywhere from 2-6 weeks or so. It's not a menstrual period.
Avatar n tn Menopause is having gone 12 months without a period or the cessation forever of all menstrual bleeding. It does not take into account the 8 to 10 years prior to that "moment in time" (the 12 month period free point) in which we are going through all of the changes called, Perimenopause. So, for your doc to say that you're "far away" from it is a bit of a joke because you're already going through the prep stages for menopause!
Avatar f tn Are you saying your menstrual month (from day 1 of one period to day 1 of the next), is now 2 weeks longer than it used to be but otherwise still regular? Or are you saying that it's adding an additional two weeks each time, such as one month it was 4 weeks and the next it was 6 weeks and then the next it was 8 weeks?
Avatar f tn It is followed by intense pain in my lower stomach similar to the pains I get during my menstrual cramps. This pain occurs though when I am not on my period. Sometimes after running a mile it is so intense I have to lay down until it goes away. The pain usually doesn't last more than 10 min. The more intense the workout the more intense the pain. It does not feel like it is a type of muscle pain. Is there something serious going on, or is this normal?
Avatar f tn Immediately i noticed the menstrual pain signs i usually have when about to start my period stopped showing and my period that was supposed to start two days after did not start. I did a urine pregnancy test and it came out negative. Its two weeks now and i still have not started my period. At the same time am not experiencing any change in my body. I don't know what to do to get my menstrual cycle back in order.
