menstrual cycle not normal

is it normal to feel like i'm going to faint while i'm on my menstrual cycle? i took 65mg of iron but i still feel a bit dizzy. is there something else i could take or eat to make me feel better?

I too have pcos, but my periods are normal. I dont know if its because I take b/c pills and it makes my period lighter. To be honest it's not normal to be in that much pain when you have your period. It should not be where it knocks you off your feet or sends you to the hosiptal. I just had my period on 4/11 and 4/12. I spotted on 4/10 and 4/13 (not heavy for a pad or liner). I had light cramps. But last month i had a bad period.

Don't worry, at your age I had the same situation but my period was absent for 5 monts, thats normal at a young age. And as an advise from me I reccommend you to still virgin, congratulations, I lose mine at 18 and I would prefer to wait until I know for sure I was going to be with that person forever.

Go see a doctor as it's not normal. You should have your period about once every 28 days (or slightly shorter/longer) lasting no longer than 7 days. You may need to look into taking some birth control pills to help regulate your period so something like this doesn't happen, but if this is the only time it has, your doctor may decide to have you track it.

I have a question about my menstrual cycle...I had my last period April 25th and now i haven"t had my period and its May 29th so im 4 days late...so if my period is late can there be a chance that my period comes in the beginning of June so i would have skipped period for May? Really confused???

I agree you need to get a pelvic exam and PAP smear to make sure you doing have any problems.It is not normal to be off your period (menopause) and then suddenly start up again. Maybe a uterine ultrasound as well.

I went about 6 months without a cycle but now am in the 5th week of a menstrual cycle. I am TIRED of it and ready for it to end but no end in sight!!! I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?

Your doctor is not doing enough tests to tell what your thyroid is doing... TSH is a pituitary test - so if that is jumping all around, it could also be the pituitary, not just the thyroid. Combine that with your period issues, your heart, your weight gain - you need a neuro-endo and a full check up. Always get a copy of your tests when you leave the doctor's office so you know what is going on and keep copies for yourself. Labs, mrIs, all tests - I even have my films.

then try taking a pregnancy test. since you had bleeding 15 days after your normal menstrual cycle it could have been an implantation bleeding. but I'm not a dr. but I would definitely test after you miss your next menstrual cycle. good luck to you, hun!
