178590 tn?1294176767 Brown Eyed Gurl, It's not uncommon to have menstrual cycle length change a little after a miscarriage, like a pendulum that has been knowed out of kilter, it takes a while to get back into its rhythm. Cycles up to 34 days in length, however, are normal. The last cycle sounds abnormal though. This may be a one time thing, so wait to see if the cycle normalizes.
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar f tn I am a 22-year-old medical student and know that normal cycle length varies between 28 to 35 days. My cycle however is around 40 days and sometimes more or less.. The question is, can that be normal? I'm a little overweight but not obese, I exercise regularly and I don't think I have any obvious signs of PCO. Any help?
Avatar f tn Once your there turn the automatic cycle indicator off, once that is off you can start and stop your cycle and you can can change ur cycle length too...
1695263 tn?1306431092 There are lots of different reasons why your cycle would be different then your normal ones. The most easy things you can ask yourself are: Any added stress? Change in your diet? Could you possibly be pregnant? Or where you? I know when my husband and I first got married we got pregnant right away not that far along and I miscarried and it felt like your period you just had. My period lasted about the length yours did and it was really painful.
Avatar n tn There are many things that can change a cycle late ovulation, usually caused by stress, change of diet, many things.your cycle is still in normal range.but yes i can see how it effects you trying to concieve.have you tried vitamin B6 this is good for getting your cycle on track,as for trying for 6 months with no success.that is a short time really.can take couples years to concieve.however since your cycle is a bit wacky,i would concentrate on getting that regular first.
Avatar f tn I would very much like to conceive in the near future but am worried by the recent changes in my menstrual cycle. I have been very regular for the past few cycles- every 32 days. For the last two, I've switched to every 38 days. Is this normal under stress or unhealthy? When I was in for my check-up awhile back, my Dr. said I may not be releasing an egg when this happens? What happens if my body has now decided to switch to this length of a cycle?
Avatar n tn I have irregular period cycle. Ave period length is 2 weeks, with 2-3 weeks "break" in between. It causes my calendar to mess up (we're trying to conceive). Is this menstrual cycle normal? Any advice re timing?
Avatar n tn for a lot of us. The length of your menstrual cycle can change from month to month for many different reasons, for example: if you are stressed about anything; changes in hormone levels; dietary changes; have experienced an illness recently; changes in medication or birth control, and so on... The average menstrual cycle is supposedly 28 days long (from the 1st day of your last period, to the 1st day of your next period), but often that's not typical for every woman.
Avatar n tn It would be quite difficult to determine if you are pregnant. While the average menstrual cycle is typically 28 days, a normal menstrual cycle ranges from 21-35 days for adults and 21-45 days for young teens. However, if you have had unprotected sex and feel you could be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if my menstrual cycle was only 3 days long would that change when I ovulate.
Avatar f tn Hello. Was just wondering, does having sex over a few months span change the length of your period? I used to have a 6-7 day period before I started having sex. Then a few months into having sex my period shortened progressively shortened each month, started from 6-7 days, then 4-5 days, now they are 3-4 days. Hm I'm just confused. I appreciate any feedback!
Avatar n tn and yes planb can mess up your cycle since your body has an internal menstrual cycle..
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar n tn The two confounders are that with increasing age miscarriage rates increase (most commonly due to an increase in chromosomal abnormalities secondary to aging oocytes), and with increasing age the menstrual cycle can begin to vary in length by 7 days or more. So it is not necessarily the change in cycle length (or a change in the luteal phase) that is the cause of a miscarriage, but rather the fact egg quality continues to decline with age.
Avatar n tn Given that I was on the pill for so long, does it take time for my cycle to normalize? I have no idea what the length of my cycle was prior to starting the pill. Thanks for any advice.
Avatar f tn s reports of the usual length of their cycle. The women reported usual cycle lengths as short as 19 days and as long as 60 days, with 28 days being the most common. We found substantial correlation between usual cycle length at enrolment and day of ovulation (follicular phase length) during the study (R=0.55, all cycles). Thus, self reported cycle length can be useful in predicting whether a woman is in her fertile window.
1793094 tn?1315374636 The last day of your cycle is the day BEFORE your menstrual bleeding starts. This number would be the total length of your cycle.
Avatar n tn You ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period on a normal 28 day cycle. So 3 days into your cycle i would say not very likely. if you are not ttc i would advise you both use some sort of protection against an unwanted/unplanned pregnany.
Avatar m tn My menstrual cycle has changed from coming regularly every 26 days to every 28 days starting in May of this year, 29 days in June and now to 32 days this month. My period this month was 4 days late but it arrived yesterday making this cycle 32 days. I am 35.5 years old have been trying to conceive for the past 2 years. I want to know what could be causing this change with my cycle ex. start of menopause, cancer, pregnant?
Avatar f tn yes, the 24th was the first day. I don't know how long your cycle is but every now and then they change. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. It happens to everyone.
