937837 tn?1285350385 Hi there. Yes it can be like that with hypothyroidism. Mine used to be regular as clockwork, once getting hypo they start to move closer together, and become heavier. That's usually one of my early warning signs I am becoming hypo when the dates no longer match my calendar! How long have you been on medication? It can take a while for it to really kick in. It may need to be upped a bit to help reduce the hypo. It may also be an idea to get your female hormones checked too.
570004 tn?1226980196 Over the past several months (since about July – a month or two after I started on levothyroxine) I've noticed that my menstrual cycle is about a week shorter than it used to be. It was about 36 days before, but now it seems to be about 28 days at most - if anything it's getting shorter; not going back to the way it was before. Does anyone know if this is normal / related to hypothyroidism? I am 31 years old. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hello, Femitrone and morning after pill when taken together can cause withdrawal bleeding and irregular menstrual cycle and it should not interfere with the working of the emergency contraceptive pill. However keep a check on your periods. If you miss them then do a urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your menstrual cycle. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
8550901 tn?1400740690 I'm 36+1 and I get them too... they feel like a really painful menstrual cramp along with the typical tightening of the stomach. I asked my dr about it and they said it's Braxton hicks. Although the pain is very real. .. they aren't considered real contractions until they begin getting stronger and closer together... like every 5 minutes on the dot.
Avatar f tn The chance of getting pregnant revolves around your ovulation cycle. You can look it up on an ovulation tracker. Put in when your periods are and it will tell you when your best/worst chance at getting pregnant is basically.
237053 tn?1258828426 I was wondering if any of your sx get worse just before and during your cycle? I think mine may. I think I'll start paying closer attention to sx and cycle to see if there is a relation in severity.
Avatar n tn can take couples years to concieve.however since your cycle is a bit wacky,i would concentrate on getting that regular first.once this is sorted then concieveing should be easy.since you will know your ovulation.failing that bed from cd12 onwards.until you are confident you have ovulated.there are plenty of signs you can use to confirm ovulation, all the best.
Avatar f tn It is very difficult to know whether a menstrual cycle will return after chemotherapy. In general, the closer a woman is to her natural menopause, the more likely that chemotherapy will induce menopause. We always caution women not to assume that no menstruation means no fertility. You never know when or if menstruation may return and becoming pregnant while on chemotherapy (herceptin) would not be recommended.
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar n tn Try walking if they get more painful and closer together it is contractions if they stay the same or stop its braxton hicks
Avatar f tn Currently the last cycle ended 11 days ago and has begun again with less clotting than before, although heavy. The cycles are getting closer together and intensifying. I have no pain, just discomfort which is what I experienced last year. I am scared and do not want this to escalate to the point it was before.
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.
Avatar f tn Hey Sweetie, I'm sorry you have been feeling so bad, I am glad to hear that your Dr will be calling the neuro and hopefully they can get a treatment plan that will work for you and get you feeling better! I am curious why he said you can't have any more CT scans, is there a maximum one person can have? I have had many in the last year. Well Sweetie, I am always thinking of ya and wishing you well.
11294269 tn?1422402907 According to my last menstrual cycle and my due date I'm 21 weeks 2 days but how the baby is measuring I'm a day over 22 weeks but r hey don't change the due date unless it's 2 weeks difference so it is possible to be a little bit further than what your last menstrual cycle states just all depends on when you ovulate but they don't change the due date unless the baby is 2 weeks ahead

Avatar n tn I am a 43 yrs old and I have been getting a cold after my cycle for the past 7 or 8 years. It is more so during the winter months. I am not for sure if this if because I dislike cold weather or because my body dislikes cold weather. In the summertime I seem fine. I can tell my immune system is weaker, but I do not get the cold.
