If you have sex before the period is due, and the period comes as usual, then you are probably not pregnant. But having sex right after your period does not reduce the chances of getting pregnant, in fact, that's some pretty good timing for getting pregnant.

I don't know if what i'm having is my actual menstrual cycle. I use a period calculator and it said i should be getting my cycle on jan. 30 but it started jan.24 and it is not flowing normally like any of my cycle. i have light bleeding where it wouldn't fill my pad for the whole day but alot of clotting when i sit on the toilet. This has never happen to me before. so is this still my period are not?

This has been going on for 3 months now. First it started a week before my period, then it was the week during my period and this past month it occurred in the week following my period. It now seems to be progressing into gastric reflux. In addition to the nausea, I get a lump feeling in throat and fullness in chest, cough, sore throat. I saw a GI doctor who suspects Crohn's and wants to do tests. I thought Crohn's is classifed by diarrhea and not constipation, but I could be wrong.
