menstrual-cycle

1147609 tn?1263583431 My menstrual cycle was 25 days two months ago and 23 days this cycle. Now here's the background: I've always have perfect 28-day cycles. I could even judge with quite a bit of accuracy whether they would begin in the morning or in the evening. After a second trimester miscarriage three years ago, they went back to normal in two cycles. After the birth of my son (and while breastfeeding) they went back to normal in two months.

Avatar n tn Hi. During the second half of the menstrual cycle (after ovulation and leading up to menstruation), estrogen levels are higher in the woman's body. This results in retention of fluid in the breasts, and in the proliferation of the breast glands. If a mammogram were done at this time, the breasts may appear to be denser and contain areas which may mimic the appearance of a breast lump.
Avatar f tn Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?
Avatar m tn I've been on Levothyroxine for about 5 weeks now. I just had my period which went from a normal 7 days to now 12 days (spotting). I also feel very crampy. I just went to see my GP today about this and she had them draw my blood to see where my TSH is at this point. My question is can Levothyroxine affect your menstrual cycle and make it completely whacky? That's all I can think would cause this since I've never had this problem until I started on this med.
Avatar f tn Hello, Well, you need to be seen by a gynecologist to evaluate you for menstrual changes. Regarding getting over your anxiety, I suggest you see a therapist to help you with this. It is important a woman have routine annual gyn care throughout her life, so this is something I hope you are able to overcome because I think it will benefit your health over the course of your life. Best regards, Dr.
Avatar n tn I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.

Avatar f tn I have the same problems that you do or did with my cycle. I’ve been ignoring my abnormal cycle for a year already. I was just thinking that my body was starting to go through the change & it was like a Big Bang period blowout. But it still hasn’t stopped flowing. I will wake up drenched & my bed & bedding ruined every month atleast once. (My bed is peroxide drunk & I don’t think my bed can handle anymore peroxide.

Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
Avatar f tn I went about 6 months without a cycle but now am in the 5th week of a menstrual cycle. I am TIRED of it and ready for it to end but no end in sight!!! Anything I can do or just tough it out knowing the end is near?? I am taking vitamins and trying to eat right but not really exercising, just don't really feel like it.
Avatar f tn You can Google discharge through the menstrual cycle and it will explain all of the changes. It is normal but I think it actually means you ate at the end of your cycle.
1142551 tn?1264736930 I was curious if it was related to the MS that I miss a menstrual cycle during flare ups. Sometimes even 2! I am not sexually active so pregnancy wouldn't be the cause. Also sorry I just seem to post my questions and just that without any history of myself and my illness. I promise I will get to that once Im feeling better. But Thanks to everyone that has welcomed me on this forum.
