I went about 6 months without a cycle but now am in the 5th week of a menstrual cycle. I am TIRED of it and ready for it to end but no end in sight!!! Anything I can do or just tough it out knowing the end is near?? I am taking vitamins and trying to eat right but not really exercising, just don't really feel like it.
Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?
I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Is it necessary to still do a pregnancy test?
This has been going on for 3 months now. First it started a week before my period, then it was the week during my period and this past month it occurred in the week following my period. I saw a GI doctor who suspects Crohn's and wants to do tests. I thought Crohn's is classifed by diarrhea and not constipation, but I could be wrong.

But I have two friends that had bleeding. One got anemic and one was treated with hormones. Not sure other than a famiily practise doc or gynecologist. My family practise doc found my fibroids and sent me for the uterine ultrasound. I don't know how expensive they are. You may want to visit the FP and pay for that and then get the uterine ultrasound done at Holy Cross if the FP thinks you need to check it out. The FP or gyne can give you hormones if necessary.
Here recently I have been having some issues with my menstrual cycle. I bled for 3 weeks. Stopped for a week and a half. Started again for another week. Was off for a week. I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.
Do you get a yearly PAP smear at an OB/GYN or nurse practioner of one? If not, this is definitely one reason to go to an OB/GYN to get this checked out. If your cycles aren't functioning properly and one day you'd like to get pregnant, this is something to get figured out sooner than later. You are still young and have time to have children but for your own health, I'd go to a doctor about this.
