I continually had problems with my cycle after my ablation. I still got a period after two months of my ablation and with ultrasounds and blood tests I had done, it showed my estrogen levels were very high and my progesterone was low. I had no facts about the after effects/side effects of Novasure before I had the proceudre I had on 9/16/2010. Now that it is over I am finding out these facts. My doctor told me nothing. I didn't realize the watery,light bloody discharge could go on for weeks nor did he tell me. I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Hello, I had the novasure procedure about 2-3 years ago. Even after the procedure with continued birth control pills I still have heavy periods. Not as "clotty" but pretty heavy for 7 days. My thought, the procedure just did not work. I have never had an ultrasound or anything since the procedure to confirm how thick the lining is now. I have been having pregnancy symptoms and a few days late with my period.

Okay. Well, in all honesty, I would suspect just a wonky period rather than pregnancy at this point. Conceiving naturally past 40 goes down each year that goes by.
I would see if a period starts in the next two weeks or if you get a period when you'd ordinarily have expected it based on your regular cycle. If there is an issue after that time, I'd consult your doctor.
Lots of things can delay a period from stress, to changes in routine, hormonal issues, slow thyroid, etc.
