Avatar f tn We are trying for baby#2; had Mirena inserted twice (a total of 10 yrs) removed it and concieved after 1 cycle but miscarried at 7 weeks in mid June didn't have a period after miscarriage; it was a natural miscarriage. Consulted a fertility specialist who advised me to go through a laparoscopy to find out whats going on in the uetrus they found mild endo, adhesions in the uterus which was removed by hysteroscopy; now its been 5 week and no period... is this normal? Dr.
1607319 tn?1297963900 I had a Hysterocope and DNC done and my first menstrual cycle after the procedure has lasted for almost 3 weeks now. I'm on birth control because we were going to try IVF this month but it looks like that's not going to happen now because we can't find a medical lab covered through my insurance. I called my fertility doc and they said this was normal and not to come in. I'm really concerned and wonder if I should get a second opinion.
564773 tn?1226920823 I have had bloody discharge ever since but not my period. Does having a Hysteroscopy mess your cycle up? I thought that I would have had a period by now as I had already ovulated.
Avatar n tn I am scheduled to have a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Friday. What can I expect? Is it painful afterwards? If there are blockages, do they get rid of them right then during the surgery? We have been trying to concieve for approximately three years. Thanks ladies!
1882836 tn?1324024086 She also did a blood pregnancy test which cme out as negative 3 weeks after my last menstrual cycle. However, I have not menstruatated since and my period is about 1 week late!! This hardly ever happnes as my cycle is quite regualr within a day or 2. I have been a bit nauseas, stomach cramps and general stomach weirdness (which i thought may be a stomach bug), a bit dizzy on and off and slightly emotional but otherwise okay.
Avatar f tn How long after your Hysteroscopy did your cycle arrive. I had an operative hysteroscopy over 4 weeks ago now and still no sign of my cycle?
790669 tn?1465189099 Ok, Been married for 11 yrs, trying to conceive for 6. Really horrible periods, pain is god awful and I would bleed alot, I'd bleed inbetween, bleed after sex and also bled if I did anything strenuous. Long story short, My gyno sent me to a fertility specialists and he did a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. He found and removed minimal Endo, a cyst on my fallopian tube and a polyp in the middle of my cervix.
Avatar f tn So i wonder if these are menstrual cramps or implantation cramping. I have been trying for a baby for some time now. And after hysteroscopy and myomectomy (done on 11 April 2013), i was told my chances of conceiving are higher. If this cramping is menstrual sign, then it means i will be seeing my periods 3 times in a month, huh! The thought of seeing my periods is scary! Baby dust on me!!!
Avatar f tn I had a Hysteroscopy on cycle day 4 to remove a couple of polyps Friday Sep 18. I was told it went ok but i have not got the operative note yet...I am still bleeding today after 15 days...not heavey....but bleeding......I am a little concerned as my understanding is it would stop within a week or so.... Can you please share you experience? it is normal..? could this be an infection?...
Avatar f tn I have to have a hysteroscopy next week to investigate an ultrasound that showed a heterogeneous endometrium. They've told me that it will be done in-office and that no anesthetic will be used, because the injections to the cervix to administer the topical are as painful as the procedure itself and usually do little to prevent pain during the hysteroscopy. As far as pain management goes, they told me to take 800mg of ibuprofen before the procedure.
Avatar n tn He also scheduled an ultrasound 3 years ago diagnosed with thickened uterine wall..no recommendations. Saught medical attention at this time due to change in my cycle (no period, spotting for 3 months and then a period that lasted 3 weeks). Put on a 4 day dose of progestin, periods resumed as normal. My history over the past six months :Oct15 - 20th (heavier than normal - no pms)...
575256 tn?1242586431 Well - no good news... I started my cycle, and they warned me if I did not get pregnant this time, that Dr. would want to do a hysteroscopy to remove the Polyp from my uterus. Well, they want me to go in Fri. to meet with Dr. to explain the hysteroscopy, and how it will improve my chances of getting pregnant, and is necessary.
Avatar f tn Do u have regular periods? I have regular periods but able to get pregnant. All my reports are clear.I am planning for hysteroscopy this month. Can u tell me about this prodedure? Is it painful like HSG?
Avatar f tn My cd7 saline sono looked OK except the RE saw some "haze". She says it could be nothing, but suggests I get a hysteroscopy. I've had 3 d&cs (uncomplicated) so I'm guessing the worst it could be is some scarring. In any case, she said I can keep TTC because the worse it will do is keep me from getting pregnant (!). But next cycle if they do the hysteroscopy, I'll need to go on birth control pills. My problem is I want the hysterscopy but not the bc pills.
Avatar f tn I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Is it necessary to still do a pregnancy test?
Avatar n tn is there any danger of having my menstrual for over a week after one year of not having it?
Avatar f tn This is my first cycle after the hysteroscopy. Went to dr today for blood work and ultrasound. Said that the brown spotting was my period. Said everything looked good on ultrasound and ill start femara tomorrow.

233053 tn?1321643821 That was August 15th... After the hysteroscopy I ovulated on my own, and started my cycle without the use of any drugs - that was a first !!!! So we were able to try again in September, and I am pleased to say that it worked...I am 5 weeks ( at least I think so - go for beta test on Thurs.) If your DR is prescribing it then I would tell the consultant that you want it done, or see if you can change Dr. Anyway - best wishes to you - but the combination of both worked for me.
Avatar m tn Jan 27th i done with ectopic pregnancy open surgery after 1 month on feb 27th i got cycle but this month i didn't get cycle give me brief explanation plz
Avatar n tn In a normal menstrual cycle, your own ovaries do not start to produce progesterone until after you ovulate. Progesterone makes the cervical mucuous thick and impenetrable to sperm, and changes the lining of the uterus to allow the fertilized egg to implant. I am concerned that starting progesterone on day 12 is too early, since most women ovulate on or about day 14-16.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
