Hello, Return of periods after childbirth may be irregular and since it is persisting for so many days after child birth, you need to get it evaluated. If there is heavy bleeding then you can get tranexemic acid and ethamsylate prescribed. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
The first period after childbirth is usually very heavy, and many women report that the first period after a tubal can also be heavy. But if you are having severe cramps and heavy bleeding as you describe, call your doctor this morning to let them know.

Hello my name is Gabriela, I am a mother of a beautiful two-month-old baby boy. Right after the 6week "no-sex" time period, me and my fiancé began to have sex. And my menstrual cycle still has not returned. We took two years to conceive our first child (with no birth control whatsoever.) When we resumed sex after childbirth, we were using condoms but went a couple of days without them making sure he didn't ejaculate "inside me.
(I am 26) And also, I have learned that your skin, hair and menstrual cycle changes every 7 years. So if you find anything that helps the forhead acne let me know!! For a bit I used Nivea face wash and cream and it helps a little.
New to the forum so don't know if this is the right area. Anyways, every menstrual cycle I go through 2 days of intense lower back pain. I'm just curious as to why this happens. Some of the research I found online talks about Dysmenorrhea and that the uterus contracts and presses against the surrounding muscles - but they use that to explain abdominal cramps. I don't get cramps during my period. Just really, really bad back pain. Any explanations on why?
Thanks for any help that you might be able to send me. ___________________ Dear Annie It is not uncommon for a woman's menstrual cycles to change after childbirth, whether normally or by cesarean. Assuming that the cesarean delivery was uncomplicated (i.e. there was no infection, etc), your cycle changes probably cannot be attributed to the procedure. I believe the changes you are describing are well within the range of normal after a pregancy and delivery.
My cardiologists seem to think my problems are hormone related. I have almost no palpitations during my menstrual cycle, however, now that is is over, I am starting to feel them again. Are estrogen levels higher during menstruation? I am curious if a birth control pill could help me with my problem. I need a basic understanding of hormone fluctuations during the cycle. Any advice is greatly appreciated. thank you.

Hello. Well my period started 'changing' after my childbirth almost 7 yars ago. The most significant change is that every time I get my period, I get a yeast infection. So not only am I plagued with the bleeding, but also with the annoyance of constant itching. And even though my period may end, by itching may not, and sometimes does. This yeast also spreads to the skin on my breasts and when I scratch them, they get welts where I scratched! Does anyone else have this problem?
I wanted to try bc pills too b/c I'm sure mine are hormonally related since mine started after childbirth and they are so much worse during my period. My cardiologist said it is definitely hormonal, but bc pills probably won't help. Of course, coming from a man, how would he know what would help. I think I might take the plunge anyway. It would be worth it to find my "cure"!
however I am a seasoned ob-rn. The extra drainage you explain could be anything from noting but changes after childbirth. Have you brought this up with your OB-GYN? Sometimes dfferent infections and STDs can cause different types of drainage. I would encourage you to call you Dr. and at least talk to the nurse at their office.
after my hysterectomy at 45yrs old I am gaining weight fast...never had mood swings or sweats...taking no harmones..does anything help?Trying all over the counter pills and etc. nothing working...HELP!!
This pms thing is stretching out longer and longer which seems to give maybe a week or 10 days in the cycle with less or no cramping upon arousal, orgasm, or occasionally after a bowel movement.........unacceptable! Good luck to all of us!!!!
My GYN called to check on me about 12 days after and said it was normal and probably would not stop until after I had my cycle. Well, today is about 15 days and I was in so much much pain last night and this morning that I was dizzy, had nausea, and diareaha. I had to sleep until about 12:00 p.m. and then I have napped off and on all day due to the pain. Is this normal? I have spotted off on on for 15 days.
I research HPT and they say that First Response Eary results is the most accurate? Have anyone had a good experience?

I have been on progesterone shots since day after egg retrieval. My last frozen cycle started with Lupron shots in am, Estrace tablets 2 three times daily, then transfer, then progesterone shots until blood test two weeks after transfer. TO MANY FREAKING SHOTS!!! I feel like a pin cushion these days, my butt is swollen on both sides from the shots and I pratically sleep with my heating pad. I am so ready for Friday, but not really b/c I am so very scared it did not take this time.
A woman should not attempt to become pregnant again until she is physically and emotionally ready and she has completed any tests recommended to determine the cause of the miscarriage. Medically, it appears safe to conceive after a woman has had one normal menstrual cycle (if she is not undergoing tests or treatments for the cause of her miscarriage). However, it may take much longer before a woman feels emotionally ready to attempt pregnancy.

Because your mother developed hers after childbirth and they seem to be linked to her menstrual cycle/hormones... I bet hers are body chemistry related. At one point my neuro had suggested I take Amerge two or three days prior to that monthly time... and at the time I had so many triggers it didn't work for me. But people that get them regularly, like almost on schedule, they can take one of the more long-lasting, slow release triptans to try and hold off the onset of the migraine.
I am on day 11 after my IUI and I have been having cramps since day 5, including headaches, heartburn, tiredness and irritability. But now I am having heavy discharge. Is this normal? or could this be that I am not preg and just a sign of my menstral cycle?
Really scared if this doesn't work and I need to go through cycle 2 as I got ovarian hyperstimulation after egg collection the first time. Was in hospital for 2 weeks as a result. Wish me luck ladies. I wish all of you every success and lots of successful pregnancies!!!
I am just curious how long it took you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal? How long until your menstrual cylces were regular? I got my IUD out on Aug 5th and am ttc. I have had lots of spotting and maybe a period but nothing regular. I called my doc and they said that it takes 3 months before the hormones are out of your system. The mirena website makes it sound as though you can get pregnant anytime after removal. Any advice/stories would be appreciated. Thanks.
If there's a small amount of blood or tissue left over from her last menstrual cycle, a woman may experience some spotting after orgasm as the cervix expels it. Dr.
