If you used the abortion pill Mifeprex, it can take up to 6 weeks - generally 3 to 6 weeks after using this pill. I've also read it can take up to 8 weeks. If you took the "morning after" abortion pill, your period should be due around 4 weeks after taking it, but everyone varies in times.
i had a protected sex with my boyfriend for the first time and that too on my period date. it's been 4 days now, but my periods haven't started yet. My menstrual cycle is not very accurate. now i want to know can i be get pregnant? when do i have to get a prega test? and if the result is positive, can i get a pill from chemist, or do i have to visit doctor for abortion? i'm very scared. please help me.
If u suspect that u could have gotin preg after having an abortion you should have taken the morning after pill. I'm not trying to judge or be mean or anything but I'm not one for abortion at all so if you arent ready for a baby you need to be resposible and take messures to insure you dont get pregnant until you are ready there are plenty of options out there.
I know Plan B messes up your menstrual cycle, but I had no symptoms from the pill until my late period. But we had sex a lot both before and after I took the pill. On top of everything, I broke up with my boyfriend last weekend because I found out he was cheating on me, so that plus the late period has caused a lot of stress, which I know can make your period late and cause a miscarriage.
once you have ovulated it should take around a week later till it is possible to take an early detection pregnancy test. however, this is not a very effective way to be sure, follow the rule of thumb and test a few days after your missed period. If it is negative, i would wait one week and test again with another early detection test. if you still have not gotten your period then wait and test again, or make an appt to get blood work(they will tell you everything you need to know, ask questions!
I started my period on the sixth of this month, had unprotected sex on the 12th (the day after my period was over). My cycle is on average 23 days. I took the plan b pill less than 24 hours after the unprotected sex. It's now about a week later and I'm bleeding-very light flow kinda brownish pink in color. im trying to remember how it worked when i had mine, i believe they started me on the pill right after the abortion because i was bleeding. you should have gotten your period technically, but its not unusual to miss. your cycle is going to be a little out of wack for a few months... is there a possibility your pregnant again? birth control is not completely effective the first pill pack and they suggest you use a backup method such as condoms the first month.
But i took the 2 monday my period suppose to came on may 11 like it normally do after i take my white pills. It usually come after i take the 3rd inactive pill. re going to have sex once and then take a morning after pill afterward than yes, it should work. But that pill is not designed to be used everytime you have sex. Regular birth control pills are designed to be taken daily and like the other poster said they take time to truly take effect.

There is a small chance you could get pregnant depending on whether you have a long or a short cycle . As it was only last night you can still take the morning after pill as you can take it up to 48 hours after sex. That would put your mind at rest and save any future decisions about abortion a few months down the line. You do realise that there is a chance you can get pregnant even if your partner withdraws before ejaculation??
If you are pregnant you can't take the morning after pill at most it can be taken 72 hours after unprotected sex. I didn't think they legalised the abortion pill yet?
I want to know if it is possible to take the pill to regulate my cycle, as well as to lessen the cramps and the bleeding. I have had two periods since I had my son the first one was short and sweet but the second one was awful. I had to change every hour. I have never had cramps or extremely heavy bleeding but now I have both. I don't even get any relief pain wise until I take four pills. I don't want to get into to much detail but its bad.
