Menstrual cramps with no bleeding

Common Questions and Answers about Menstrual cramps with no bleeding

I have taken 3 HPT and all were negative. I have had no bleeding. This is to the T the only pregnancy symptoms I had with my son-bad cramps/no period and shocks in breasts. But, I think I waited longer to take a test last time. Also, last time I got off the pill I had a normal period..and I don't understand severe cramping with no period. Should I have waited longer to take the tests? I'm only 3 days late.
I get menstrual type cramps around ovulation then nothing for about a week, then the week BEFORE my period I start getting mega-cramps (no bleeding). Once my period starts I have no cramps for a few days then BAM, cramps come on like no tomorrow. I always used to get cramps only during my period. I don't get the off-cycle cramping. I went in complaining about it last week and am having an ultrasound to check for cysts, fibroids and IUD placement.
Hi! I'm having severe cramps but no bleeding or spotting. I'm due for my period in about 4 days but I've been trying to get pregnant for a couple weeks now. I took a pregnancy test today and it came back negative. I'm not sure if these are menstrual cramps or possible pregnancy cramps. Help?
Has anyone experienced menstrual like cramps early in pregnancy? I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.
The average woman experiencing a normal menstrual period has low-pressure contractions, 15-30 second long, with 1-4 contractions per minute. A woman with menstrual cramps has contractions of a higher pressure (sometimes more than 5 times higher than her counterpart), over 90 seconds long, and often less than 15 seconds apart.
I am 5 weeks and 4 days. And I feel cramps here and there but nothing compared to menstrual cramps. My doc said its normal as long as there is no bleeding. Good luck!

I had cramping with both of my pregnancys. If it gets to intense or bleeding is involed than I would give my dr a call. A heating pad (not too hot) and laying down really helped me :) good luck!
D Because I went into preterm labor with my son, and all it felt like was menstrual cramps that were coming and going, and it was actually contractions. Everything was fine this time, it wasn't contractions, just the way she was laying. I would drink some water, take some tylenol, and relax for an hour or so, if it doesn't go away, I'd go in and just get it checked out!
I have this problem all the time where I get severe cramps in my lower abdomen like menstrual cramps but its cuz I haven't been able to go for a few days. Try a warm bath and maybe track bm to make sure they r regular. I know it sounds goofy but I ended up in er a few years back cuz it was so bad. Drink lots of water but still go see dr. Cramping is normal during pregnancy tho. Most of it is your body just stretching out from a growing uterus.
I am 15 weeks and have had bad cramping all day (I work on my feet all day) the cramps are low and feel like menstrual cramps. (no bleeding or spotting) I also have pain in my lower back. This is my first pregnancy and I don't know how much cramping is normal? Or when if ever its a problem. Any advice would be awesome!
Because this question has been posted in the Women's Health Community, are you talking about menstrual cramps? For menstrual cramps you need to have a good healthy diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and fish. Plenty of fluids, especially water. 2 litres a day is usually recommended, more if you sweat a lot. Make sure that you are well hydrated. Cut out junk foods, sugary foods, like sweets, cakes, biscuits, chocolates, sweets and fizzy drinks. Avoid using processed foods.
I am almost 6 weeks pregnant and having alot of cramping but no bleeding or spotting is this normal?
When i was in nursing school, i learned that if you have excessive bleeding you may have uterine fibroids in your uterus. Associated with that you may have either hernias or a cyst in your ovary. Good luck you can contact me anytime.
The cramps I had felt like mild to moderate menstrual cramps, but of course, no bleeding. If you get any severe pain, especially if it's one sided, fever or fainting go to the nearest ER.
I'm also having the same problem it has only been happening two days and its about half way between when my period should come, I am also having no symptoms that i would regularly have with my period, i have no cramps but i have more acne then usual and i am going through slight mood swings, I'm 17 and I'm not sure what to do.
So, on Friday i had really really bad cramps....they felt like menstrual cramps i couldve started my period at any minute. i was out of town visiting my mom and i wasnt having any bleeding, i didnt fall or anything like that so i thought maybe i was just stretching...a lot. so i layed down and suffered....i was expecting them to go away but they stayed there the whole day..i got little breaks here and there but it was mostly there all day just like period cramps..
I always get severe cramps and they always start about a week before i actually get my period but ive been getting severe cramps for at least 2 weeks now with no sign of period. Me and my boyfriend do not use contraception but have only had sex a couple times since my last cycle and we use the 'pull-out' method. Could I be pregnant? I wanted to wait before I actually take a precnancy test but im getting pretty worried.
Then the next day (09/05/13) I still had the cramps and in the morning had some blood on the tissue. I have had no more bleeding since then however I have had the cramps every day since all day and all night and they are getting worse. Also I have had a lot of clear watery discharge coming out all the time. Since coming off of the pill I didnt have a period for a few months and then from September to February I was having a period every month. Since February I have had no period.
I have 3 children all up and I didnt have this experience with my 1st 2 children. I have had the implantation bleeding with my 3rd child who is now 11 months. It only lasted 2 days, bad cramps, migranes, thirsty..... And just last week I was due for my period and only had them for 2 days again, ive only had one bad migrane since my period, unsure could this be baby number 4?!
What was the color of the blood, bright red, brown, light pink? Are the cramps mild or severe compared to period cramps? I bled from 4 to 10 weeks with mild cramps. Even had loads of bright red blood come out twice. Baby is just fine.
Meanwhille can't eat, losing weight, nausea, cramps in right abdomen and inner legs, menstrual cramps, been in and out of er. Told maybe Pancreantitus, enzymes not elevated. Went to Er this week, they did CT Scan and said nothing wrong with Pancreas, but fould a cyst on right ovary. Sent report to OB/GYN, meanwhilee still cramping, missing work. THen OB calls and says there is nothing wrong with you gynecology go see family doctor. What is going on?
Cramping on one side is usually due to a cyst on that ovary. It will also cause chronic pain and excessive bleeding. no worries tell your doctor and they will just prescribe you birth control to regulate it or if your like me and can't take birth control they may just issue you a strong pain reliever.
