Avatar n tn you are not able to get pregnant while on Lupron, but there is always the execption. take a test and maybe tell your doctor about your symptoms. Lupron can cause many different type of symptoms. I did a 6 month round in 2005 and just finished another 6 month round this year. In my case I only gain weight and the hot flashes, these are the most obvious side effects for me. You should find out if you are or not, before you need to take the next shot. good luck.
Avatar n tn s because you still ovulate every once in a while. The past 3 days I have been having cramps bad, so now I am wondering if it means my ovaries are finally giving out. I had my hysterectomy in 94.
1836987 tn?1319116216 * pelvic pain (similar to menstrual cramps); * mild nausea or stomach pain; * headache; * vaginal bleeding; or * pain, redness, or irritation at the injection site." They are all on the infertility sites - and the later drugs seems to be preferred now over lupron...
Avatar n tn You can get many different symptoms while being on lupron. You can get light periods, you can feel nausea.... I would go ahead and take a test, or call your doctor to see what is going on.
1161702 tn?1277413731 I have been going through this since I was 12 and I'm 18 now. That is way too long for me. When I get my monthly menstrual, like on the second day I get really sick and vomit a lot. I have really bad cramps too...After the second day of my menstrual with the vomitting and stuff, I'm usually pretty okay. But my cramps last just about my whole period, my period is 7 days and I cramp for like 4/5 days striaght.
475740 tn?1208262865 I am currently on the Lupron injection. After my first shot I was fine. My third month I started having severe cramps and had a 3 week very heavy period. That was 2 weeks ago. I got my 2 shot on Friday and I am having more severe cramps and I started my period again yesterday. Does this mean that the shot isn't working? I am starting my 4th month.
Avatar f tn t want to do based on watching my sister on lupron. So, i need to decide if i want to wait another menstrual cycle or so and see what happens or just go for the surgery next week. What do you all think? Part of me says to just wait if the doctor is not pushing for it, but I'm also worried that with my next menstrual cycle, the cyst will enlarge again and I'll have all the pain that I had after sex and right before getting my period. What do you all think?
Avatar f tn They believe that the Lupron over-supressed me. While Lupron is used a bunch, this is apparently a very common side effect and without any indication of egg reserve. If you used Lupron, you may want to talk with your physician about a different protocol. I will be trying an IVF in November/December using a protocal with Ganirelix. My doctors seemed cautiously optomistic and assured me that his does not mean I have a diminished ovarian reserve. I am also dealing with male factor.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with advanced stage endometriosis when I was 21. I received Lupron Depot injections every three months for the past 2 years. The last shot I received was in October. My gyno jas now put me on birth control (Lo loestrine fe). Can anyone give me any advice on what to expect during this transition back to "normal life"? Specifically, how long post- Lupron to expect the first menstrual cycle? Thank you in advance!

Avatar n tn Forgot to mention my pain does not feel like menstrual cramps or stomach cramps, it's a horrible sharp pain that I had never felt in my life til 6 months ago when this started. Also I have tried Advil, tylenol, naproxen, darvocet and none of them help my pain at all. My pain doesn't get better or worse with a bowel movement.
1161405 tn?1262735692 Hi there. I was placed on Lupron, the 3-month shot, in January and I had my first menstrual cycle in June. Everybody is different, but the doctor told me it was better since it gave time for the body to recover and prevent it from getting endometriosis. A couple of months ago, he gave me for two months hormones in order for my periods to come normally and then told me, that alone my body should start again its normal cycles. Now, I am trying to see if I get pregnant.
Avatar f tn I woke up to menstrual like cramps today. Today is my due date!!! I'm wondering if this could be pre labor or maybe just braxton hicks? Have any of you experienced this before and did you go into labor??
935872 tn?1247146747 Coralis~ It COULD be the food, If the cramps are not regular... then you should be ok. Try drinking a large glass of water and laying down. IF the cramps are regular and you have more than 5 in an hour get in to be seen. A few days ago I had what felt like really strong Menstrual or gas cramps. I'm almost 16w. And they started out strong and painful.. They went from 10 min to every 2 min within the first 20 minutes of them starting.
Avatar f tn If you go on any hrt the only thing it can do is reduce the painful cramps as you would not get a period. However Lupron gives you the entire menopausal effect and te chemicals in it is not worth what suffering comes all with it. I refuse to ever take anything again because of mentally and physically what it has done to me. Everyone reacts differently to medication I get that but there is no cure for Endo and the only way to combat it is through excision lap.
Avatar n tn I have been having menstrual like cramps as well and am almost 37 weeks. They come and go, not constant.. hard to really time. At my last appt i mentioned it to my ob and she said if I was able to go back to sleep and I couldn't time them they were most likely braxton hicks.
Avatar n tn I'd get a second opinion (from a different doctor) about using Lupron for endometriosis. If you could get treated a different way, you could presumably drop the weight (if the Lupron is indeed causing the gain).
Avatar f tn I will be 35 weeks on Monday and started having menstrual like cramps what could this be from?
Avatar f tn Is it normal to have constant menstrual cramps while walking or after walking. I am 36 weeks 5 days pregnant.
