I will be 38 weeks Friday. And today I've bee n having menstrual like cramps in my lower back. Anyone can relate? Or know if this is pre labor?

Yes but it also depends on how it is. I get some here and there but it's nothing unbearable or anything. They say it's really bad if it's like menstrual cramps or worse, or if theres really heavy bleeding. But gotta always trust your gut.
Hi there. Tylenol is what is recommended for pain and discomfort including cramps. Mayo Clinic suggests no more then 2,000 mg per day if you have liver disease which includes people with Hepatitis C. Tylenol is a better choice then pills containing ibuprofen such as Advil or Motrin. The only concern with Tylenol is that you do not want to have any form of alcohol in combination with this drug.
As always with any pain meds, the less the better.

Has anyone experienced menstrual like cramps early in pregnancy? I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.
I mean I had bad menstrual cramps my whole life, to the point where I laid down and cried, so I was able to lay there and endure fairly bad cramps without meds and wasn't even concerned. Looking back I found it odd lol. I wasn't even concerned enough to call my mom. But yeah, totally normal. Water, watch TV, rest.
Have you had a bowel movement lately? I have this problem all the time where I get severe cramps in my lower abdomen like menstrual cramps but its cuz I haven't been able to go for a few days. Try a warm bath and maybe track bm to make sure they r regular. I know it sounds goofy but I ended up in er a few years back cuz it was so bad. Drink lots of water but still go see dr. Cramping is normal during pregnancy tho. Most of it is your body just stretching out from a growing uterus.
Not always normal. At least not for me. I had menstrual like cramps and went into l&d turned out was in pre term labor at week 29 and again at week 33. They had to stop my contractions both times. I am now 39+5 days. Just pay close attention to the cramps.
Has anyone had menstrual like cramping in the third trimester? Could the pain be related to dilating? I have had constant cramps every day this week and so tired of it.

I was having bad menstrual cramps and took too much Tylenol. I believe I took 6,000 mg in 24 hours. Now I'm looking on the internet and totally freaking myself out that I'm going to have liver failure. It's been 48 hours since my last dose. My stomach is queasy, but that could be because I'm so upset. Is 6,000 mg spread out over 24 hours enough to cause harm?
I'm 35 + 3 .. I'm having menstrual like cramps coming at irregular intervals , all under 10 minutes with Braxton hicks in between .. I drank water & laid on my left side which stopped the Braxton hicks but the cramps still come & go .. They aren't too bad , but seem to have gotten slightly more noticeable .. What is this ?
I'm 29 weeks today, and for the past couple days I have been feeling menstrual type cramps in my lower to mid abdomen. They come and go throughout the day and night but are not regular enough to time. My stomach doesn't harden, so I know it's not BH (which I already have enough of) They do not go away when I stand or walk around. They do however get worse when I lay down or after I eat anything. ve been having such severe menstrual cramps that I have to take some kind of medicine to remain functional throughout the day. When I take anything containing Aspirin I get really sick with symptoms including: running nose , asthma attacks, anxiety, and a rapid heart beat, so I've been taking low doses of Tylenol once a month. Recently I've noticed when I take Tylenol I get rather fatigued and get a runny nose.
I had bad cramps around weeks 15 through 18. Some were sharp and uncomfortable, other times it lasted for upwards of 24 hours. Dr said it can happen (doesnt always) and everything's fine. Ive always had killer menstrual cramps so I kind of just ignored them. Tylenol didn't really help:(
Sometimes a hot bath helped. I didnt fill the tub or stay in too long but it was calming.
