Avatar f tn I get such severe menstrual cramps every month and it's unbearable.. I started this morning and have already taken my prescription pain medication, but it's not working. I'm wearing a heating pad which slightly helps. I do all the "home remedies", though I'm still in pain! What else can I do for pain management?? I have an appointment with my gyno in a week and a half, but today and tomorrow I have the extreme pain and want to do something to stop it now. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn I am having irregular contractions, back pain, menstrual like cramps, my mucus plug has came out, nausea, and of course pressure. I am curious to know what are some Natural remedies to help jump start the labor, considering my body is giving signals it's ready.

Avatar f tn Pain varies from mild discomfort to severe cramping. It feels similar to menstrual cramps. I was treated a few months ago for constipation. High fibre & lots of water did the trick. But I’ve been having this issue ever since. Wondering what it could be. Thanks in advance!

Avatar f tn Hello everyone! I have a question about menstrual cramps, and any help would be appreciated. I have been suffering extremely painful cramps for years now, ever since I got my first period when I was 13. I'm currently 18 and am going off to college very soon, but I have no idea how to deal with these cramps that incapacitate me for an entire day. My cramps get so bad that I usually faint. For example, when I was around 14 my period came in the morning but I still went to school.
Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.
1340383 tn?1309990914 I am trying to explore natural remedies for healing ovarian cysts..I have one (2.6 cm by 3.4 cm) on my left ovary and my Dr is suggesting birth control pills.. anyone heard of any herbs or food items to shrink cysts? Thanks!!
Avatar f tn I never needed it but for the first two days of my period. Advil is not a pain reliever or pain medicine, it is a muscle relaxer, basically. In other words, it blocks the prostaglandin that cause muscles to cramp, so they don't cramp. That's why it is so good for menstrual cramps. I don't recommend pain pills or opiates for period pain, but Advil can be just the thing.
Avatar n tn Yeah same here lots of gas haha I go to my first appointment Monday
Avatar f tn And for the constipation, you can try natural remedies like lots of water, 100% juice, preferably prune juice, and lots of fiber. As far a medicine, miralax, and colace are ok to take for the constipation.
Avatar f tn I try my best to avoid prescription meds and prefer natural remedies. I also use ultrasound and ice treatment methods. What methods do you use?
Avatar f tn I am just trying to share information that has worked for me, anyone can try it, or not. It also worked for my daughter. I have been trying to get relief for over 30 years. I don't believe there is any research on beet betalain and RLS so believe this is a new benefit of beet betalain. The only reason I decided to sell this product is that it is working for me and want to share this information. There are tons of info. on RLS.
Avatar f tn Hi All, i suffer from trigeminal neuralgia and would like some feedback of any natural / herbal therapies other suffers have used and have found to gain relief or a cure to the issue. In particular I am interested to find out if acupuncture, chiro adjustments or cranial sacral therapy has worked.
Avatar f tn Foot cream rubbed on the back of my calves helped. So did soaks in hot water and showers. Get hubby to give you a leg rub. Heating pad on the legs where it hurts or a warm water bottle. Exercise helps to keep the blood flowing. Wooden massage tool. Hop something helps soon! I feel your pain! I'm going through the exact same thing right now!!
Avatar f tn My s/o says that no matter what she does, no medication helps her with any kind of pain, cramps, headaches, anything. Is this common? Shes not looking for immediate pain relief, but the pain lingers and in the same intensity, no numbing, no feeling of being relaxed, nothing. She has tried prescription and over the counter in high and low dosages. Anybody have any thoughts?
Avatar f tn This is my first pregnancy and I'm contemplating if it would be better to have an epidural or go natural. I hear people that have had an epidural say they wish they would've gone natural. When I would have my periods, the menstrual cramps would be so bad it'd make me sick. The pain was so severe that I couldn't even think or concentrate. To me menstrual cramps are the worst pain I've ever been in. And I've heard that labor pains are 100 times worse.
