Avatar m tn How many periods have you had? It's not uncommon in perimenopause to have a period come out of the blue.
Avatar f tn Hi all I am 50 (will b 51 in few months), with high bp managed with Atacand plus and last visit my doc said im perimenopausal. At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March. It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
Avatar n tn I'm a 44 year old woman who has been on my menstrual cycle for a week now. I also have the mirena.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I started having light cramping that felt like menstrual cramps. This morning I started spotting brownish discharge and by this evening I have a what looks like a normal period with light cramping. Could this be a miscarriage or could it just be the start of perimenopause?
Avatar f tn Even one of my friend is suffering with the similar type of issue she is having breast cancer and her menstrual cycle is very irregular like she has periods twice in six months and when it comes she has to face heavy bleeding with menstrual cramps. Some how with the use of menstrual cups she manages the bleeding but the pain and other problems she faces during this is unbearable.Check here for more information about menstruation at http://www.cupissima.com .
1398693 tn?1343684738 I've been getting major cramps since I've started perimenopause I saw a midwife ( no gynocologysts was avalible ) about it and I was fobbed off and I was told to take ibuprofen and I told her that I've tried that along with everything on the market and I was told to take ibuprofen before I get my monthly and to come back in 9 mos. Since I can't get help from a doctor ( or anybody else in the medical community ) does anyone have any ideas of how I can stop this pain?
Avatar f tn It sounds very much like you are entering perimenopause, a time of unknown length when our bodies begin to produce less estrogen and throw our cycles into a bit of chaos. What you described is perfectly normal for perimenopause. Sometimes we skip periods, the next month we have 2, the month after that we bleed heavily for days, wondering if we need a blood transfusion, then we have two month of nothing but spotting..............
Avatar n tn I'm 47 yr old female.I've been experiencing excessive sweating and periodic hot flashes. In the last 2-3 years I encounter several missed periods, but however I still have the bloating and cramps without the bleeding.I've taken severeal at home pregnancy test, but they were all negative. My tubes were burned and tied in 1988.I am aware also that I do have an ulcer. Can you please tell me what is going on with me? Am I experiencing Perimenopause?
Avatar f tn If your periods have been more or less regular and if you have no signs or symptoms of any sort of infection, pain, cramping, discharge other than menstrual blood, it would be my humble and non-medical opinion that you are slowly but surely heading into perimenopause. This does not mean that next month you'll in full blown menopause! Perimenopause is the beginning of our bodies learning to live with the ups and downs of fluctuating estrogen levels. Perimenopause can last for many years.
Avatar n tn Perimenopause. Your period might come and go irregularly for a while.
Avatar n tn m too young to be going through perimenopause even though everything seems to point to hormonal changes as these attacks appear to be cyclical.
Avatar f tn If you're in perimenopause, that's no unusual since the menstrual cycle goes haywire!
Avatar f tn At 46 years of age with a tubal ligation/cauterization, why would I have skipped 2 month of my menstrual cycle? I hear stress can be a factor and I have been under more stress than normal. I have also heard that pregnancy can occur even with tubes tied.
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have had some sort of dip in your hormone levels that have thrown your cycle off a bit. Stress or perimenopause can do this. If it is from stress your body should regulate itself within a couple cycles time, if you are in the onset of perimenopause you will likely continue to experience irregularity for about 10 years before you go into full blown menopause.
Avatar f tn I am surprised at the range of perimenopause symptoms I am experiencing. My mother, aunt and grandmother all had hyperemesis gravidarum. Unlike them I have never had children. Is there any relationship between my perimenopause symtoms and hyperemesis gravidarum?
Avatar f tn I'm 42 and starting to get worried about this long cycle that seems to be getting a bit heavier instead of lighter. On 7/14 I started my cycle which was nothing unusual but here I am still on it almost 11 days later. Peri menopause? The blood is not heavy or light, sort of what it's usually like mid cycle and it's bright red. Around day 7 it seemed to be letting up a bit but now it seems to be getting a tiny bit heavier every day, not heavy just heavier.
