10452875 tn?1436484351 Mine just feel like really bad menstrual back cramps! They usually last for about 15 20 min, and come every 5 min within that time.
Avatar f tn It should feel as bad as menstrual cramps. If you start bleeding, you might want to call your doctor. I've had stomach/uterus cramps almost every day since week three.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had menstrual like cramping in the third trimester? Could the pain be related to dilating? I have had constant cramps every day this week and so tired of it.
Avatar f tn I imagine this would be no different from you entering a pool while menstruating except I have seen some warnings against pregnant women and menstruating women entering a wet sauna. Heat can help ease menstrual cramps, but it can also increase your heart rate which increases your menstrual flow. Hope this helps. Let us know anything else you find out.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone! I have a question about menstrual cramps, and any help would be appreciated. I have been suffering extremely painful cramps for years now, ever since I got my first period when I was 13. I'm currently 18 and am going off to college very soon, but I have no idea how to deal with these cramps that incapacitate me for an entire day. My cramps get so bad that I usually faint. For example, when I was around 14 my period came in the morning but I still went to school.
Avatar f tn I'm 29 weeks today, and for the past couple days I have been feeling menstrual type cramps in my lower to mid abdomen. They come and go throughout the day and night but are not regular enough to time. My stomach doesn't harden, so I know it's not BH (which I already have enough of) They do not go away when I stand or walk around. They do however get worse when I lay down or after I eat anything. Has anyone experienced this?
Avatar n tn I'm five weeks as well and tummy is so sore and cramping. Definitely need some relief. I think hot water bottle is safe. My husband said it's ok he is in nursing. Just no heating pad...they get too hot...warmth is good...
11356079 tn?1421357818 I was told not to put a heating pad on my belly because the heat causes the amniotic fluid to bubble and overheat. To be sure, ask your doctor.
2055843 tn?1332427915 Hello- I'm not sure how old you are but I'm 27 and have had/have the same types of cramps that you do. I believe the medical term for it is dysmenorrhea. As for it being normal...ehh lol, I guess it's "normal" as in it happens to many women and isn't usually life threatening in any way. However, my personal opinion is that normal isn't always good, and this is one of those cases.
1395422 tn?1308016251 Everyone woman knows what a menstrual cramp is. It may come as a surprise to many that menstrual cramps have another name. The medical term for these abdominal and pelvic pains is “dysmenorrhea”. More than 50% of women are affected each month by a certain degree of dysmenorrhea, and 15% of those women are experiencing severe cramping. Isn’t this PMS?
Avatar f tn Every month I get severe menstrual cramps. I have been to the gyno a few times looking for what I can do, but seem to be at a loss. I am not allowed to use hormonal treatments to help with the pain, such as the pill, because of other health concerns and no doctor wants to risk putting me on a hormonal treatment. Though the cramping doesn't respond very well to the pain medication I've been prescribed. At times I feel like curling up in the fetal position and just crying.
Avatar f tn I had the same problem. Switching sleeping positions or recruiting your partner for a back rub can really help! Watch your posture when sitting up. Also a hot water bottle or heating pad feels great (just like with menstrual cramps). If you don't have one, use an old dish soap bottle and fill with hot water, or take a pouch or old sock and fill with rice, close, knot and heat in the microwave for a couple minutes.
Avatar n tn I'm 34 weeks and having the strongest menstrual type feeling cramps ever. My Lower back is in so much pain. It's almost unbearable. Should I be concerned? Did anybody experience this before labor?
Avatar f tn Am 33 weeks and been having menstrual cramps on and of can this be contraction first pregnancy help!
8026978 tn?1396325900 HEY . IM 36 WEEKS & 5DAYS , HAVE ANYONE EVER EXPERIENCE MENSTRUAL LIKE CRAMPS BEFORE LABOR ?
1577200 tn?1331725719 maybe sound crazy but I have an odd-ball question concerning menstrual cramps and how they compare to it?
Avatar f tn t be too worried if you used a condom properly each time (meaning it was never exposed to excessive heat of any sort, including body heat, before it was put on his penis and wasn't expired, didn't break) and your periods are irregular.
Avatar f tn I am having mild menstrual pains daily..I m actualy thnking of going 2 c my dr 2moro.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to have slight cramps below your stomach ( almost like menstrual cramps) the first 4 weeks?
709912 tn?1229203300 It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.
Avatar f tn the doctors have ruled out menstrual system cramps, shingles, lactose and now I am waiting for more test results for different hormonal things. ice and Motrin seem to not help the pain, and heat occasionally makes it feel better. if anyone has advice please let me know!
Avatar f tn Did they work for cramps? I read to make sure they are safe for pregnancy with the heat and oils and I haven't seen anything bad about it so I'm gonna go buy some oil and try it out. I'll let you know how they work for me!
