menstrual cramps early sign

It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.

Implantation cramping feels like menstrual cramps, though perhaps not as intense for women who have painful periods. Bloating is also a really early symptom. But all the symptoms related to early pregnancy are also pre-menstrual symptoms so we can't base anything on symptoms alone. Are you testing tomorrow? Let us know the result!

I should mention that I always have back pain during my AF though. When I talk about menstrual cramps, that is what I refer to b/c that is what hurts me. ... Now that I think about I may be weird .... Does anyone else besides me cramp in their back during AF? I think its genetic b/c my mom did and so does my sister. Just wondering ....

I've had these their like menstrual cramps, but I've always had.them early on. Gotta be careful cuss it can be early sign of early labor. I've preterm labor twice with my kids, this is why I'm on progesterone shots once a week.

and to top things off now im having cramps but their real light cramps and im not on my period... could this be a sign of pregnancy ? ive taking a home pregnancy test but they came out negative...how long should i wait before i do take a home pregnancy ?

Hi everyone, I have been having menstrual like cramps during the night ( when I lay down for sleep) and while having long walks. ( when I have them I have so trouble breathing) I also do have this strong back pain when I go for a walk. Are these any sign of pre labour? I have had a few sharp pains from time to time and I called just to be sure, and he said some women experience more cramps than others, and just to make sure they are no worse than menstrual cramps. Hope this helps, and congratulations!

Was it during a time you were to ovulate? When I got pregnant it felt like fluttering mixed with cramps that were different from menstrual cramps. Here's hoping for you if that's your goal!

I was put on bed rest do to it being too early. Ive also been into prelabor. Ive been having contractions and menstrual like cramps but for the last 2 days ive had diarreah. Is that a sign of real labor?

Yeah its normal to have cramps during the early stage of pregnancy and yes you feel bloated.

Hi! Braxton hicks contractions are contractions that do not actually cause dilation of the cervix. Most often they feel like tightening, and a lot of women feel like the baby is curling up in a ball as their stomach is really hard. Menstrual-like cramps could be a sign of very early labor. If you don't know if you are in labor, you are not--true labor is almost always UNMISTAKABLE (unfortunately). Good luck!

i've been spotting a little bit,a tiny bit of brown for 4 days now... no sign of period,and period is due in like a week, or a week and a half.. no menstrual cramps, and the spotting didn't get heavier. sore breast some times.. can it be implantation bleeding? or slow coming period? or something else?

If the cramps and not getting your period is causing you this much stress then yes, go to the ER and request a blood test. That will definitely give you a concrete Positive or negative. Good Luck!!!
