Avatar f tn Hi all I am 50 (will b 51 in few months), with high bp managed with Atacand plus and last visit my doc said im perimenopausal. At the end of last year my cycle missed then it came on 18th Feb and lasted till 22nd March. It then returned couple days ago and I've spent the day with horrible cramps and each evening around 6pm it's as it a tap has been turned on and I bleed profusely. I am going to my doctor first thing Monday but just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?
Avatar f tn Even one of my friend is suffering with the similar type of issue she is having breast cancer and her menstrual cycle is very irregular like she has periods twice in six months and when it comes she has to face heavy bleeding with menstrual cramps. Some how with the use of menstrual cups she manages the bleeding but the pain and other problems she faces during this is unbearable.Check here for more information about menstruation at http://www.cupissima.com .
Avatar m tn How many periods have you had? It's not uncommon in perimenopause to have a period come out of the blue.
1398693 tn?1343684738 I've been getting major cramps since I've started perimenopause I saw a midwife ( no gynocologysts was avalible ) about it and I was fobbed off and I was told to take ibuprofen and I told her that I've tried that along with everything on the market and I was told to take ibuprofen before I get my monthly and to come back in 9 mos. Since I can't get help from a doctor ( or anybody else in the medical community ) does anyone have any ideas of how I can stop this pain?
Avatar f tn s it declines more rapidly until it ceases. During perimenopause our hormone levels (Estrogen, Progesterone, and Testosterone) decrease, and ovulation slowly begins to come to an end... If you're interested in becoming pregnant, my advice would be to start keeping track of your ovulation and menstrual cycles now. Also consult your Ob/Gyn if you have any concerns. The healthier and better shape you're in will definitely influence any possible pregnancy and transition into menopause...
Avatar n tn I'm a 44 year old woman who has been on my menstrual cycle for a week now. I also have the mirena.
Avatar f tn Yesterday I started having light cramping that felt like menstrual cramps. This morning I started spotting brownish discharge and by this evening I have a what looks like a normal period with light cramping. Could this be a miscarriage or could it just be the start of perimenopause?
Avatar f tn About 65 to 75 percent of women experience hot flashes during perimenopause. Their intensity, duration and frequency vary. Sleep problems are often due to hot flashes or night sweats, but sometimes sleep becomes erratic even without them. Mood changes. Some women experience mood swings, irritability or depression during perimenopause, but the cause of these symptoms may be sleep disruption or other menopausal symptoms rather than the hormonal changes of menopause.
Avatar f tn i have been having a light brown discharge with a fishy odor to it. i do not have any pain during intercourse, urination, or pelvic pain. i do not have any itching, lumps, bumps, warts, or anything of the nature. i am not on birth control and am married. i have no idea what this is it has been present for almost a month now. i originally thought of BV how ever i have had BV before and the signs and symptoms are not present at all.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to have period like cramps during your pregnancy? Im 13 wks. I had those cramps this passed Monday, it woke me out of my sleep. It really made nervous and i checked to make sure i wasn't bleeding and i wasn't.
Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.
Avatar f tn I am a 32 years old women and getting hot and on and off cold flashes though out the day is any one able to explain this to me.Last month my menstrual cyclical went longer than usual. My menstrual cyclical usually only go's for about 4 to 5 days, but last month my menstrual cyclical lasted 10 days.
Avatar f tn It sounds very much like you are entering perimenopause, a time of unknown length when our bodies begin to produce less estrogen and throw our cycles into a bit of chaos. What you described is perfectly normal for perimenopause. Sometimes we skip periods, the next month we have 2, the month after that we bleed heavily for days, wondering if we need a blood transfusion, then we have two month of nothing but spotting..............
Avatar n tn m too young to be going through perimenopause even though everything seems to point to hormonal changes as these attacks appear to be cyclical.
Avatar f tn I imagine this would be no different from you entering a pool while menstruating except I have seen some warnings against pregnant women and menstruating women entering a wet sauna. Heat can help ease menstrual cramps, but it can also increase your heart rate which increases your menstrual flow. Hope this helps. Let us know anything else you find out.
Avatar f tn To me, they didn't feel any different. I was prepared for disappointment because I thought my period was about to come. I don't think every woman feels cramping during implantation, just like every woman does not experience spotting.
Avatar f tn t actually been a lot of research on the menstrual cycle and MS, the few studies out there indicate a higher prevalence of MS symptoms worsening within a week prior to cycle beginning, which might be related to the rise in core temperature but there's nothing really looking into this.
Avatar n tn I'm 47 yr old female.I've been experiencing excessive sweating and periodic hot flashes. In the last 2-3 years I encounter several missed periods, but however I still have the bloating and cramps without the bleeding.I've taken severeal at home pregnancy test, but they were all negative. My tubes were burned and tied in 1988.I am aware also that I do have an ulcer. Can you please tell me what is going on with me? Am I experiencing Perimenopause?
6589573 tn?1382725642 Doctor says I am not in perimenopause either. I have pain at my left ovary, clear discharge, and blood clots have come out during a bowel movement. Aside from feeling bloated and basically horrible the pain is becoming worse. Oh, I am not pregnant. Could there be something blocking the blood from releasing??
Avatar f tn If your periods have been more or less regular and if you have no signs or symptoms of any sort of infection, pain, cramping, discharge other than menstrual blood, it would be my humble and non-medical opinion that you are slowly but surely heading into perimenopause. This does not mean that next month you'll in full blown menopause! Perimenopause is the beginning of our bodies learning to live with the ups and downs of fluctuating estrogen levels. Perimenopause can last for many years.
Avatar f tn I'm 46 and my tubes have been tied for 13 years. I've had 2 d&c's in the last 5 yrs because my menstrual cycle won't stop. Suspect the onset of menopause, but my breast have become very sore and I am producing colostrum. Leaking very slight amount but I'm wondering if this is normal during menstration?
Avatar n tn Perimenopause. Your period might come and go irregularly for a while.
Avatar n tn *Severe* cramping isn't normal during pregnancg.. I have horrendous menstrual cramps but I've never cramped at all when I'm pregnant. It would be worth calling your dr and seeing if they want you to come in.
