menstrual cramps cause vomiting

39 weeks today and have been experiencing menstrual like cramps for a few hours now. Should I assume I'm in labor and call my doctor or is cramping normal?

I've been having these painful cramps for almost a week now, without vomiting or diarrhea. They almost feel like menstrual cramps - in the back - except for they are higher up, and all through out my midsection. I have never had menstrual cramps that felt like this, and I'm not near my period. I would say it's similar to the feeling you get when you have diarrhea, but I'm going to the bathroom as usual, no constipation either.

Has anyone experienced menstrual like cramps early in pregnancy? I am almost 6 weeks and have off and on menstrual like cramps anywhere from my sides to my pelvic area. I had an ovarian cyst rupture recently so I was told the pain in my side came from the fluid left around my ovaries and that it would take care of itself. It has been 11 days since the cyst ruptured but I still occasionally have pain.

Worse than menstrual cramps, and reminded me of when I was experiencing contractions from labor. The pain radiated to my lower back also. The pain has been off and on for a whole week now, with some days being better than others. It gets a lot worse if I'm even the slightest bit hungry, and as soon as I eat the cramps stop. I assumed it was food poisoning since this all started immediately after my meal on Monday, but I've never heard of it causing cramps for a week straight! Any ideas?

Hey everyone, I'm growing more concerned with my fiance by the minute. Two days ago, she started having cramps, which is odd because it's off her (usual) menstrual cycle by a couple weeks. Yesterday, she woke me up to take her to the hospital. The cramps were intensified greatly, and were much much localized. She had extremely heavy bleeding that she couldn't get under control, to the point that it was running off her feet with heavy tissue discharge included.

I am 11 almost 12 weeks and once in a while mainly when I am relaxing after a long day I feel slight cramps. Never in the same spot just random spots in my lower abdominal area. Should I be worried that a miscarriage is coming?

Hello- I'm not sure how old you are but I'm 27 and have had/have the same types of cramps that you do. I believe the medical term for it is dysmenorrhea. As for it being normal...ehh lol, I guess it's "normal" as in it happens to many women and isn't usually life threatening in any way. However, my personal opinion is that normal isn't always good, and this is one of those cases.

I Had done embryo transfer 3 days aftereggs picking, after that 10 days passed away but I don't have any pre menstrual syndrome like lower abdomen pain, cramps etc, and don't have morning seekness, vometing. Is is normal in this situation or am I being pregnant?

At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).

I have lower abdominal pain (sometimes burning) that almost feels like menstrual cramps, but sometimes the pain relocates to different parts in my abdomonen. It is fairly constant pain, but it comes and goes. I had bloody diarheaa two days ago and was also vomiting at the same time.

I am taking the pills so I will get my period and 3 days late and no sign of it coming ( no cramps or soreness) Im no worried if im preg I know im not as I have had blood tests and Ultra sounds earlier this month.

This is not to scare you. I had this one am, two sets of menstrual cramps. I was concerned so i layed down and monitor it for a bit, i had nothing more and was goingto ignore it. I called a nursing line who told me ineeded to get checked despite them going away. I went in assuming i was wastjng time, turned out i am at risk for preterm labor and my cervix is shortening. Now im bed rest in the hospital for labor now.
