menstrual cramps before labor

I'm 34 weeks and having the strongest menstrual type feeling cramps ever. My Lower back is in so much pain. It's almost unbearable. Should I be concerned? Did anybody experience this before labor?

I woke up to menstrual like cramps today. Today is my due date!!! I'm wondering if this could be pre labor or maybe just braxton hicks? Have any of you experienced this before and did you go into labor??

It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.

Am 33 weeks and been having menstrual cramps on and of can this be contraction first pregnancy help!

How did you mamas feel right before labor? I've been having around two contractions an hour but my water is still intact, I am not dialated, and he hasn't dropped.I had my dialation checked two nights ago so that might've changed.

I am 35 weeks tomorrow with baby #1. Been having menstrual like cramps in my lower back and lower belly/pelvic area. It started not last night, but the night before. Occasionally it gets painful and sharp pains spread up towards my belly button. When they aren't the sharp pains that go up higher, it's just a dull ache like the period cramps. But the cramps have been pretty constant for the past hour or so. I know I'm not in labor yet, but could this the beginning signs?

ve been having a faint crampiness all over in lower abdomen, it kinda feels like the faint cramps is get before I would get periods. does this mean labor is close?!

Braxton hicks contractions don't hurt. True labor contractions start off feeling like menstrual cramps. If that's what ur feeling, then labor is imminent or ur experiencing the very beginnings of it. Monitor it and get ready to go to the hospital! Goodluck!!

I will be 38 weeks Friday. And today I've bee n having menstrual like cramps in my lower back. Anyone can relate? Or know if this is pre labor?

For a couple weeks before I delivered I had bad menstural like cramps. I'm pretty sure it's practice contractions because early contractions when I was in labor for me felt similar. My doctor said it was normal. It got pretty intense one night and consistent for a few days. I thought it was gonna go somewhere but it didn't lol. I took Tylenol and waited it out.

I'm 35 weeks n these past few days I've had on and off menstrual like cramps. My tummy doesn't get super hard and they're not unbearable but they're getting very uncomfortable. So far today they haven't gone away. Anyone going through the same thing or have any suggestions??

The first time I had menstrual like cramps and was spotting, then the lower back pain started, I had back labor. My water broke about 20 hours after all of that started. Second time, I had an increase in diarrhea the day (more than usual) I went into labor and a ridiculous cleaning rage (I vacuumed 3X that day) My contractions were turning into real ones, not BH anymore. No bleeding, no increase in discharge, just knew it was time.

39 weeks today and have been experiencing menstrual like cramps for a few hours now. Should I assume I'm in labor and call my doctor or is cramping normal?

The day before I went into labor I had a lot of pressure down there. I didn't even realize when I started having contractions. It just felt like menstrual cramps, both my lower back and front hurting. Now when I think about it the cramp in the front came and went. A hot bath relieved the pain in my back, but not the front. It also felt like I had to use the bathroom. It was about four hours later when I started spotting before I realized I was in labor.

Lower back pain... lower abdomen pain like menstrual type cramps. Pressure in your butt or vagina! everyone is different tho but i can tell you this i didnt go into labor on my own with my son but i did with my daughter and the weekend before i had my daughter i thought i was going into labor ha the contractions i was having was nothing compared to when i actually woke up the next weekend in labor!

I'm not sure what it is exactly but it's probably part of the process... I'm preggo w/my first so I have no experience to share, but I'm pretty sure cramping is very normal at the end of pregnancy as your body prepares for labor/birth. I've had occassional menstrual like cramps too and I'm not as far along as you. My doctor equates it to either BH, normal uterine cramping, or constipation or diarrea. Do you have an appointment soon?

Is it normal to have menstrual like cramps when 25 and 1/2 weeks pregnant?! Could it be him growing? Because I'm very small.. 4'11 .. so I'm hoping its that?
