menstrual cramps acupuncture

I get such severe menstrual cramps every month and it's unbearable.. I started this morning and have already taken my prescription pain medication, but it's not working. I'm wearing a heating pad which slightly helps. I do all the "home remedies", though I'm still in pain! What else can I do for pain management?? I have an appointment with my gyno in a week and a half, but today and tomorrow I have the extreme pain and want to do something to stop it now. Any ideas?

Just an FYI that my first Acupuncture appointment went wonderfully. I was suffering from sciatica, heartburn, constipation, leg cramps, big baby with no effacement or dialation and Acupuncture has helped most if not all of these. My back feels so much better...I'm wondering if the LAC can bring the needles with her to the hospital and help me for delivery. My body feel so much better. Had I known about this earlier in my pregnancy I would have started treatments sooner.

I'm 34 weeks and having the strongest menstrual type feeling cramps ever. My Lower back is in so much pain. It's almost unbearable. Should I be concerned? Did anybody experience this before labor?

Is it normal to have slight cramps below your stomach ( almost like menstrual cramps) the first 4 weeks?

It might be early labor. I have read where premature labor can feel like menstrual cramps. It could also be Braxton hicks but Im not sure. If you have more than 4 cramps an hour, you should call your OB ASAP. That is what the OB nurse told me on Friday when I was having contractions showing on the monitor, although I didn't feel them.

Over possible menstrual cramps? I'm just trying to figure out if I conceived is it normal to have cramps around where I'm suppose to start. I would be about 3-4 weeks if it worked.

I'm sorry to hear your af showed. It sounds like you've been on quite a journey. My af showed this morning (at least I think it's af, light bleeding, no cramps, odd menses, but my bbt has gone up!) What does anyone know about acupuncture used in fertlity treatments? I am going to a naturopathy and she recommends acupuncture.

To me, they didn't feel any different. I was prepared for disappointment because I thought my period was about to come. I don't think every woman feels cramping during implantation, just like every woman does not experience spotting.

51 W, female, 45 years old, lower abdominal pain for nine years, perineal pain for 14 years, accompanied by menstrual pain, sexual intercourse pain, frequency and urgency, particularly in the menstrual period, after hospital treatment, are not effective, pain remains ,can't lateral thigh, can not walk step. Clinical examination: straight-leg raising test both are 70 °, the roots of bilateral thigh have severe pain.

When the uterus stretches it feels like menstrual cramps, mine were a but stronger than regular menstrual cramps. If they get unbearable I would call the doctor just to be safe.

It took a few weeks for it to kick in, but it even helped with menstrual cramps as well as the diarrhea associated with my cyst pain. I have been having menstrual like cramps as well and am almost 37 weeks. They come and go, not constant.. hard to really time. At my last appt i mentioned it to my ob and she said if I was able to go back to sleep and I couldn't time them they were most likely braxton hicks.

How far along are you? At 30wks I went to dr & hospital for having really bad cramps & back pain and I ended up getting monitored all day & they said I was having uterine irritability (mini contractions) & they had to give me a preterm labor shot. They said it could've been brought on by dehydration or bacterial vaginosis (an infection I had at the time).

Not sure if this is just normal but since 3 this afternoon I've been getting diarrhea type cramps and menstrual type cramps that are getting stronger with time. They don't go away with changing position or anything. Im 33 weeks. Any advice?
