Common Questions and Answers about Men's health triathlon

Avatar f tn About two months ago I started training for a triathlon. I was swimming in the bay and got an eye infection. I took an antibiotic and an anti fungal, the doctor thought it could be staph or a fungus. I did this for 5 days and it looked like it was going away. Then it came back rapidly. I took another round of topical and oral medication and it has sense been gone (two weeks now). But, I then started having pains in my body knees, shoulders, wrists elbows, neck pain, etc.
Avatar m tn Hello~I am requesting that this post be transferred to men's health, they will be able to help you better.
Avatar m tn Hi Motorspear: Although this is a great community and it deals with pain, I think your question might be better answered by the "Men's Health Forum". I'm sure that you're not the only one with this problem and other men that post in the Men's Health Forum might be better suited to answer this question. I hope that you find the answer your looking for. Others may post as the day goes on and you might get your anwer here...you never know.
Avatar f tn I exercise quite a bit and typically average 5 hours per week running, 10 hours per week cycling, and 2-3 hours per week swimming (yes, I train for triathlon...). That said, during the swim I have noticed that my Heart Rate does not increase much above 115 to 120 and it feels like my Heart is pumping very hard. I check my pulse after 500m on my Carotid Artery and it seems to be a much stronger 'pulse' than when running or cycling.
Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
Avatar n tn You should post this in the sexual health or men's health forum.
Avatar n tn (In case others are wondering, this thread started out in a different forum and got moved to the Men's Health forum, being more appropriate here.
Avatar n tn I exercise regularly, and have completed a 1/2 marathon. I called my cardiologist to see if it would be ok to participate in a triathlon. (1.5K swim, 40K bike, 10K run) The cardiologist responded that I should exercise as long as it was comfortable, but not to exert myself too much. He advised me not to do the triathlon. I have a stress echo done every year, and do very well. In addition, I have no symptoms. My research does not seem to support what this physician recommends.
Avatar f tn I answered in the men's health forum: https://www.medhelp.org/posts/Mens-Health/I-have-small-red-rash-on-my-penis-head/show/3052304. I guess I'll add the question of how long has this been going on but answer there to keep it on one thread.
