Avatar n tn run at 6mph for 2 minutes then run at 3mph or rest for 2 minutes) will be more effective in losing weight than if I ran or walked at a steady pace.Is there any truth to this>?
Avatar m tn I used to sell bodybuilding supplements in small quantities when I managed health foods stores, and they always sent several magazines with every order. In each magazine, as I said, the same goal will have three or four "experts" disagreeing about the best way to approach the exercise. This site looks like one of those, as the picture on it is of someone who takes steroids -- that's how you can tell a bodybuilding magazine sort of thing.
Avatar f tn After reading daily all the challenges everyone is going through, the common "I can't take it" statement, I came upon this article in the Men's Health magazine from the doc next door (Dr. Jeffrey T Junig) who advises in the doctor forum of addiction on medhelp. His story has truly inspired me and I hope that it will all of you as well. WARNING !! It can be quite disturbing to some, but it makes you think...if HE overcame all of that.....then surely we can as well.

Avatar f tn Hi all! I had posted something in Men's health related to this issue last week but now that it seems to becoming a little more clear that it's not a men's health thing and a general health thing I thought I'd post here. My general question is this: When I touch my chin to my chest I feel a very quick numbness in my lower right butt cheek near the Ischial tuberosity. It only lasts for a quick minute and then goes away.
Avatar f tn Hello~You will probably get more help in the men's health forum, I have put a request in for you for this post to be transferred there.
Avatar n tn Intuitively, I feel it is due to reduced blood flow to the organ and might help if you do some pelvic exercises to promote better blood flow .Food items which provide your daily quota of Vitamin E and zinc should generally be helpful. Some yoga exercises like ' Padmasana ' ( Google for details) combined with deep breathing exercises will promote blood flow to the penis. What ever you do, do it in consultation with your doctor and for Yoga exercises, learn it from an instructor.
Avatar m tn You would definitely want to ask your doctor that question. I saw an article in a medical magazine in a hospital waiting room that said that the sperm are a bigger factor in health of a baby than previously realized. Smoking, drinking, poor sleep, poor diet, high stress, and toxins all take a toll on sperm, weakening them. I think it's a great question and worth researching.
Avatar f tn I was doing many physical exercises, innumerable hours of special massage, salubrious baths, sea water. Also much training in walking, wearing of special bandages. Doctors can not to help me, by saying it is a grey area for them. My limbs are numb and lame. I suffer when I go, because my deviation causes me much inconvinience. Are there some medical injections into them to improve circulation because other methods are useless?
