Avatar n tn Sorry to learn about your father's death. It is always a big problem of stroke. Some time cause are not known. My wife had a stroke. In spite of test cause could not be found. She was confined to bed for two years.Taking care of a stroke patient is very unsatisfactory as we cannot know what the patient feels and what he wants.Once she cried for the whole night. I could not fine the reason. Only in the morning I found that her urine tube (forgetting technical term ) was blocked.
Avatar n tn run at 6mph for 2 minutes then run at 3mph or rest for 2 minutes) will be more effective in losing weight than if I ran or walked at a steady pace.Is there any truth to this>?
Avatar m tn Thanks for your comment, I never thought of some type of bug. I will make him another appointment at the doctors to be sure it is not that internal fluid you mention. He did start some new blood pressure medicine.
Avatar m tn I used to sell bodybuilding supplements in small quantities when I managed health foods stores, and they always sent several magazines with every order. In each magazine, as I said, the same goal will have three or four "experts" disagreeing about the best way to approach the exercise. This site looks like one of those, as the picture on it is of someone who takes steroids -- that's how you can tell a bodybuilding magazine sort of thing.
Avatar n tn Because DHEA has so many beneficial effects of its own, everyone over age 50 should have a DHEA blood level exam done at some point. If the level is low, you should supplement with 10 mg. of DHEA and get tested again in about three weeks. If it is still low, increase the dose by another 10 mg. and get tested again. Once it is back in the normal range, stop there since excessive use of higher doses can lead to problems.
Avatar f tn After reading daily all the challenges everyone is going through, the common "I can't take it" statement, I came upon this article in the Men's Health magazine from the doc next door (Dr. Jeffrey T Junig) who advises in the doctor forum of addiction on medhelp. His story has truly inspired me and I hope that it will all of you as well. WARNING !! It can be quite disturbing to some, but it makes you think...if HE overcame all of that.....then surely we can as well.
405614 tn?1329144114 I found a great article in AARP magazine (my roommate gets it) about mistakes doctors make, why they make them, and how to help yourself avoid these mistakes. All of us in limboland should be able to relate, and feel a little good that there is such an article in a national magazine. I hope you'll take the time to read it, and enjoy it as much as I did! http://www.aarpmagazine.org/health/why_doctors_make_mistakes.
Avatar f tn I don't think guys are prohibited from any part of MedHelp. They write in to the DNA/Paternity forum often. And to the Men's Health forum all the time, of course.
Avatar f tn I was doing many physical exercises, innumerable hours of special massage, salubrious baths, sea water. Also much training in walking, wearing of special bandages. Doctors can not to help me, by saying it is a grey area for them. My limbs are numb and lame. I suffer when I go, because my deviation causes me much inconvinience. Are there some medical injections into them to improve circulation because other methods are useless?
1975675 tn?1333316567 Light reading (magazine/easy book), change for parking/vending machines, camera, cell phone charger, makeup (for all those pictures/people visiting), I've heard bring your own bath towels bc hospital ones can be small and scratchy, slippers/non-slip socks for walking around, nursing bra & nursing pads, big comfy undies you don't care about, jumbo size heavy flow pads... I'm trying to think what else was on different lists I've seen.
Avatar n tn I found this book on amazon.com by the American Vision Institute that shows how to improve your vision naturally and I'm curious on buying it because i notice my vision is getting blurry. It seems like it's getting a lot of great reviews. Could they be scamming me for my money? If so why is the book still around? the link is below http://www.amazon.
973741 tn?1342342773 If you want big muscles you lift heavy weights or do a lot of reps. If you just want more muscle, not a lot of muscle, lifting an old phone book a bunch of times if you don't do anything now will increase your muscle tone.
