Avatar n tn You can get reinfected form your partner if you are sexually active and in that case both of you should get checked and treated simultaneously, or abstain from sex till you are cured fully if your partner is not infected. You can also get reinfection, if you are living in a mold infested house. You have to keep your private parts dry and ensure that the clothes you wear are also clean and dry. Living in a moist environment can also lead to recurring fungal infection.
Avatar m tn Hemorrhoids are not uncommon and most can be treated with over the counter medications and a change in diet. Getting more fiber may help and so will stool softeners when you need them.
Avatar m tn Elevating your testosterone to normal levels improves cholesterol, heart and bone health--so I am told. I suggest you discuss it with your doctor. If you are concerned about a low sex drive or erectile dysfunction it will also help that. I wish you well.

Avatar n tn But, the trouble with supplements is that you can overdose very esily, unless used judiciously or prescribed by a doctor. For instance, Viatmin A and E are easily available from our daily food and being fat soluble, they get stored in our tissues and overdosing is very easy. I do not know, why the Companies are packing such easily availble vitamins along with some other difficult to get nutrients like zinc, omega3 or B12. So, while taking supplements, always do consult the doctor.
Avatar m tn Certainly if it can be heard by another person besides himself, he should drop into the ER and have the doc take a listen and do some diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I think if it was your appendix, when that lets go you will know about it, been there and dont want to go there again, and if the pain is down that low I think the gallbladder would be out of it. You need to have a think of what you were doing just before the pain come on, if you were straining then it could just be muscles? Been to a doctor yet, let him have a poke around.

Avatar n tn In June 2003 I had a major surgery to remove a carotid body tumor--located in the "Y" of the carotid artery in my left neck. The Mayo doctors worked a long time to remove it as it was affecting my speech, breathing. I have several complications, with the 39 units of blood and fluids, my eye sight was damages..

Avatar m tn If you have tested negative for STD's then a STD is not your issue...not sure about hernia. Try posting in Men's Health or even uriology and explain your issue, they might have a better idea.
Avatar m tn I went to the doctor 6 months ago, questioning him about if i had an std after receiving oral sex. He sed no and the only stds cathcable from oral sex are herpes. Everytime after i masterbate i will occasionally get red dots on the head of my penis, which are really small and microscopic. recently i had oral sex with my partner, and soon after i had these little red dots on the head of my penis. It does not hurt when urinating nor do i have painful ejaculation and am very confused what this is.
Avatar m tn This is somewhat controversial, and trich is starting to get more attention. But still, it causes few or none of the complications or serious health problems of other STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes, or HIV.
Avatar m tn You correctly understand the risks are nil, based both on the low chance your partner had HIV or other active STDs (people rarely lie when asked directly) and the nature of the exposure. What you're asking is my judgment of whether or not your "concern" (anxiety is what I would call it) is influenced more by your conflicts about your sexuality, and by this particular sexual choice, than by the actual HIV risks involved. Your judgment of that is much better than mine.
Avatar m tn Hello~I am requesting that this post be transferred to men's health, they will be able to help you better.
Avatar n tn I am a 30 year old male who has ONLY HAD SEX WITH 1 GIRL (my wife). We have been married for 10 years and together for 13 years. In march of this year I had gone to a "massage parlor" and received a massage with a "Hand Job" at the end. Approx 15-20 days later I developed a slight burning sensation at the tip of my penis. I went to the ER and the doctor tested my urine for a urinary tract infection. That came back negative.
