Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 26 year-old female and have been experiencing hair loss at the frontal area over the last few months. I have had quite a lot of stress recently since the grad school started but I am not sure if that is the reason. I was told about Rogaine. I was wondering if you think it would help? If yes, how long do you think i should use it? Does it have any side effects that you have heard of? Is there anything else that you suggest I could do?

Avatar n tn You can get reinfected form your partner if you are sexually active and in that case both of you should get checked and treated simultaneously, or abstain from sex till you are cured fully if your partner is not infected. You can also get reinfection, if you are living in a mold infested house. You have to keep your private parts dry and ensure that the clothes you wear are also clean and dry. Living in a moist environment can also lead to recurring fungal infection.
Avatar m tn Hemorrhoids are not uncommon and most can be treated with over the counter medications and a change in diet. Getting more fiber may help and so will stool softeners when you need them.
Avatar m tn Elevating your testosterone to normal levels improves cholesterol, heart and bone health--so I am told. I suggest you discuss it with your doctor. If you are concerned about a low sex drive or erectile dysfunction it will also help that. I wish you well.
Avatar n tn My Dad a fall and was diagnose with stroke. Right hand and body cannot move..Face was out of shape.
Avatar n tn But, the trouble with supplements is that you can overdose very esily, unless used judiciously or prescribed by a doctor. For instance, Viatmin A and E are easily available from our daily food and being fat soluble, they get stored in our tissues and overdosing is very easy. I do not know, why the Companies are packing such easily availble vitamins along with some other difficult to get nutrients like zinc, omega3 or B12. So, while taking supplements, always do consult the doctor.
Avatar m tn Certainly if it can be heard by another person besides himself, he should drop into the ER and have the doc take a listen and do some diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I think if it was your appendix, when that lets go you will know about it, been there and dont want to go there again, and if the pain is down that low I think the gallbladder would be out of it. You need to have a think of what you were doing just before the pain come on, if you were straining then it could just be muscles? Been to a doctor yet, let him have a poke around.
Avatar n tn my husband has been having dizzy spells and visions.
Avatar m tn hi, i'm 24 and i've noticed i've been losing hair on my testicles. there's a big patch in the middle at the bottom where there is nothing but smooth skin there now. does anyone know what this is and is it a problem?
Avatar f tn cause I definitely take care of that, and my mother is 86 and still has all her hair, so no heredity traits with hair loss. Hers is much thinner of course (she IS 86 after all!!) but still all there........still down on her shoulders. I will go to my GP and my oncologist and ask them about possible thyroid problems, although I'm thinking if this was it, I would have other symptoms.....no? I did have a very stressful time over the last year.......started studying again, AND!
Avatar m tn And this is not including my diet which was pretty damn good. Vitamin A toxicity involves hair loss and hair/skin issues. I have stopped this pills as of yesterday, I also have an appointment with a dermatologist tomorrow and will update this if I learn anything new. I really don't think there's a need for these pills unless a doctor confirms you are lacking in some fashion.
Avatar n tn In June 2003 I had a major surgery to remove a carotid body tumor--located in the "Y" of the carotid artery in my left neck. It was the size of a pop can and not visible from looking at me.. I was 283 pounds, thought I had a fat neck. The Mayo doctors worked a long time to remove it as it was affecting my speech, breathing. I have several complications, with the 39 units of blood and fluids, my eye sight was damages..
540822 tn?1313086322 I used cotton bandannas and did well with them. The other material you mentioned sounds like it would be light weight, plus soothing to the head. What ever makes you feel the best is my suggestion..so maybe just start with one of each to compare. I had a wig and I'm sorry I bought it..it was hot and itchy all the time. Good luck..you probably will need them between your 1st and 2nd treatment. I lost my hair about 18 days after my 1st treatment.
