Avatar f tn I have talked with two health professionals about amino acids like L-tyrosine... they have both told me that they are for people involved in strength training and vigorous excercise progams to help build muscle, however everyone says they help... how do they help? I am very curious because I need something to help me get my body reconditioned since detoxing?

Avatar f tn hello to all again. about the amino acids, is that rough price of $4 a bottle a recent price and if so in what part of the country? we don't have a gnc around anymore so i went to Mrs. Greens (health food store) and CVS and they were going for 15-20 dollars per small bottle! i didn't buy because i figure i may be able to get them cheaper somewhere else. everything is pretty expensive here in NY compare to other states i've been to.

It was the size of a pop can and not visible from looking at me.. I was 283 pounds, thought I had a fat neck. The Mayo doctors worked a long time to remove it as it was affecting my speech, breathing. I have several complications, with the 39 units of blood and fluids, my eye sight was damages..
Avatar f tn You can get a 2lb can of Whey Protein powder at Walmart for 15$ that has all the amino acids you need. Blend 2 scoops with a banana, milk (I use almond) and some frozen berries. Drink twice a day. This is yummy, gives you the aminos, and NO PILLS! Feel better...You are doing this!
Avatar f tn Hello all. I was wondering if I should continue to take the amino acids in the Thomas recipe if I am feeling better. I take the 5htp, l tyrosine, l-glutimine and omega 3 b-vit etc.... I dont want the horrid depression to come back. I dont know if its the aminos helping or just time. Any advise is appreciated. I am 37 days clean today. YAY!!!!
Avatar f tn i was taking large quantities (the same as on the protocol page) of the aminos and although it really seemed to help with my mood as well as sleep and RLS, i kept getting nauseous for a few hours after taking them, and it seemed as though my diarrhea got worse. i kept thinking it was the WDs, but now that i am passed most of that and i still get an upset stomach, i decided to look into it.
Avatar f tn t take any suboxone yesterday. got through a bit of a restless night, took 2mgs this morning. anyway, about the amino acids, are there any side effects to taking those large quantities? does it make you constipated or upset the stomach at all? and for the relaxing ones, can they make you tired? just wondering. i am struggling with fatigue more than anxiety at this point so i was wondering if all those stress reducing aminos would make my fatigue worse.

Avatar n tn s suggested for liquification or volume specifically, but I know certain vitamins (like vitamin c and e) and amino acids like l-carnitine can help improve sperm count and function. There are also vitamins formulations out there, specifically formulated to help men's fertility. Best of luck to you!

In the past, I couldn't make it, because of lack of sleep, and relentless weakness, and anxiety. SO tired of this battle. I just want to be ,"me", again for myself, and my family.
Avatar f tn looking for anything that will help lol and yes Im experiencing all w/d symptoms looking to get in better health during my taper and when I go again into full w/d. the taper I have planned that is going to last a month I am still experiencing pretty severe w/d symptoms since I was on methadone and am tapering on low dose opiate(5mg hydro 3x a day for week then 2x a day for a week and so on) until the thanksgiving holiday break.

Those that we can't produce & must acquire from diet are known as 'essential amino acids'. All Amino Acids are necessary to proper systemic function. I have been going through w/d from opiates and it really is hard but the amino acids and vitamins have helped. I went to the health store and bought the L-tyrosine 500mg and the L-Glutamine 500mg and today I had a lot more energy and the deep depression must be better because I laughed and smiled:) Twice a day I take those and the SAM-e, calcium, super b complex, 5-HTP, magnesuim and a multi vitamin.
