Avatar f tn m prescribed 150mg Wellbutrin, and I want to take 5-10mg of adderall to help me stay up to study for a test. What happens if I mix these medications? I only want to do it this one time, I do not plan to take them together regularly.
Avatar n tn reasoning, and more by repeating things immediately, 15 minutes later, half hour later, little puzzles and test to test your ability to sort things and solve problems. That test takes a few hours.
Avatar m tn Ok the docs said that i have damage to parts of my brain but it didnt show on scans. They found it from an evaluation where they put me through some memory, dexderity, and speed tests. Is this right? Can they say that i have this damage without it showing on the eeg, mri with/without contrast, cat scan, and think there was some other test they did but not sure. Can someone have brain damage and it just not show up?
Avatar n tn My otherwise healthy 48 year old husband had mitral valve repair two months ago. One of the side effects we weren't prepared for was his post op memory loss (mostly short term memory). This site helped us realize this was a common result of surgery and medications...but I'd love to know how long it takes to return to "normal", and if there's anything he can do/take to speed the process up. Thanks!
Avatar f tn could my memory loss be attributable to ECT or my drug abuse or both? How long should it take for my memory to come back if at all? If it doesn't, do I need to get a lawyer?
1191795 tn?1264712627 57 yo retired mil with PTSD (field medic) and very rapid memory loss over past 3 months. I mean very rapid and getting worse. Taking Citalopram and Trazadone. 401554 tn?1270213756 I have been through major bouts of severe depression for several years now and ever since, my memory seems to be impaired. The past four years have been a total blur...it's almost as if time is passing by with great speed, yet very slowly. My recollection of past events seem fragmented and I can't seem to put past events in chronological order. Anyone else with depression have memory problems?
338416 tn?1420045702 Episodic memory, processing speed and working memory are the most frequent areas of impaired cognition in MS. I think we can all relate to that - it takes longer for me to figure something out, my short-term memory sometimes just doesn't function, and if somebody's telling me something, it takes me a minute to understand.
1998316 tn?1328972756 I remember as early as 6th grade i had trouble remembering things, poor memory and concentration, depression, allergies (which i didn't realize i had). Now, i am taking antidepressants and Klonopin. I have been on antidepressants since a young adult and on Klonopin for a couple of years. I was on Xanax before that.
900662 tn?1469390305 No change in my working memory that is damaged, but I have slowed processing speed. Simple math take longer and to answer someones question my take longer... I some how cut off after number 1 at the bottom of the page the Dr says "STARTING DMD'S those darn lesion ......
2015036 tn?1332997788 Actually, yes, but I wouldn't term your experiences temporary amnesia. I had a real problem with short-term memory. I would lose parts of a day, but sometimes it would still make it into my long-term memory. My theory is that wherever the memory was, it got filed properly, but I couldn't access it in short-term memory. But I don't remember any sort of 'lost time' phenomenon. It's possible that you had some seizure activity.
Avatar f tn They mark the sites on the scalp with a marker where they are going to place the wires that measure the response speed from the optic nerves to the brain. It is completly painless and only takes about 30-45 min. They make you sit in a chair and look at a monitor/tv screen with a reversing checkerboard pattern whil focusing on a dot in the middle of the screen, and that's all there is to this one. The worst part to this test is trying to get the gue out of your hair afterwards.

1724911 tn?1323368340 Left there only to get a call a week later not to miss my appt. in three days at the Memory Clinic!!!! (I live 5000+ miles away) he had made an appt. for me with the 'Memory Clinic' -what's that about - NOT going there again. Good new though. Had a good experience at Cleveland Clinic with a nero/opto for another eye problem who is VERY up to speed with CM. Has set up appts. early Jan with 4 depts.
Avatar f tn And medication that is not up to speed can also cause this but also it could be since they are not up to speed, the depression and other mental health issues are worse. So, I agree that I'd perhaps talk to someone else to take a look at your medications, hear what is going on with you currently (and in the past) and give you advice as to what should be your next step. You can decide then if you stay with your doctor or see the new one you visited for the second opinion.
Avatar n tn I have also had memory problems. I had full-day neuropsychological testing and my memory and processing speed were 30 points below my average IQ. I also had an MRI, which showed no abnormalities. The headaches, as I mentioned before were initially fairly mild, with only the right (occipital?) area of my head affected, as they have worsened I can feel the pain down the right side of my neck, extending down my cartoid? artery and in my ear.
Avatar m tn But in the meantime, while you wait for a sleep test or to see a doc to figure out what might be doing this to your memory, let us say you know on your own that you don't sleep very well. I can suggest a couple easy things you can do to try to clear this up: One is to exercise to where you break a sweat at least three or four times weekly, this helps release tension and also helps a person sleep better. Two is to make your sleeping room very comfortable...
Avatar m tn Oke so 1.5 years ago I got a very tiny piece of minth stuck in my throat. Whatever I've been trying I couldn't cought it out. I still have that feeling on the same spot now about 10 cm below the adams apple.
