Hello, if someone thinks he lost consciousness at one point, say during a fight because he has a memory gap that makes sense to him only if he was knocked out, is there a medical test to show that he indeed lost counsciousness? If so, how soon after the knock out would the test have to be performed?

Well, on the neurological side of things, I personally think you should visit a neurologist, because he can do some office tests to determine how your recall and short-term memory is doing from a series of questions, and then he can also order a scan of your head to see if the problem originates in in your brain. I did the maternit21 blood test which test for chromosome issues(This test is more accurate than the old test) and we also did a level 2 ultra sound where they physically check baby in sonogram. i also had the rare diseases test that looks for over 200 rare diseases. With the ultra sound they tell you if they see anything right then in there. and my other test took about a week if that to get results. We wanted to know and be prepared for the just incase.

Reading others threads it says that it takes weeks to show antibodies and also if this is the case why was this test ordered and can it be from this exposure since the test was ordered 12 to 13 days after , we are very green with this, and very scared .

I have been on thyroid medications for about 19 years. I was on .50 of levothyroxine for about seventeen years and was moved to 0.88 a couple years ago. Lately, I have been exhausted and had a multitude of symptoms. My TSH came back at 12.9 while on medication. She also tested me for thyroglobulin (1320) and peroxidase (563) and both were extremely high. Is this indicative of cancer? I keep seeing thyrogobulin as a cancer marker.

Off dilaudid and mostly off soma ( I have taken 2 when the back spasms were horrific) Is it normal to still have confusion, and memory problems? I am also extremely tired and weak. It seems every day is worse than the other. I am finally sleeping, but I am so tired and weak.

It's not uncommon so please don't feel you are alone. I do things all the time to keep my mind going. Often times and I went though this and go through periods where I don't feel up to do much at all. I felt my fibro fog was getting worse. My daughter commented that I was always so curious, reading and wanting to learn. I had to start stimulating myself again. I love to read, I always try to keep 1-3 books going.

First off what are you symptoms to checked for this? Yes they are "normal" levels but they are far from optimal. You need to find a doctor that reallizes the difference. Have you had your LH and testoterone checked? It's very likely these are on the low end as well.

The symptoms seem like it could be and honestly doctors never think to test for it. I would demand a Lyme Disease test. Keep in mind the testing is very inaccurate with Lyme disease. you might need to have several tests done. Hang in there and good luck!

He has really bad short term memory. I mean he could of just stopped something and forget he did it 30 seconds later. Another thing is ill ask him take the trash bag out the can, empty the small can into the bag you took out the big can so your dad can take it outside because you cant take it outside by yourself. "Ok mom" but instead he just took the big trash outside by himself and does nothing with the little trash. He is in regular classes and still gets honor roll.

Yes both were prescribed but by different doctors. My specialist know about all meds I was previously prescribed. He told me not to take the valium I had been prescribed but I could continue the flexeril with the gabapentin as needed. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress.

Apart from sleep studies, EEG, you may need cognitive tests like mini-mental state examination (MMSE) or Folstein test. Memory loss can at times be treated through therapy and learning skills. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!

m fatigued, weight gain, muscle twitches throughout my body, tingling in fingers, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, memory issues, concentration issues. I don't take anything other than B12 because my levels were low last year at my physical examination.
