Avatar m tn What test are recommended or available to establish a benchmark prior to mitril valve replacement? My doctors are telling me that my leakage is approx.45% ...what does that mean?? will I be able to leap tall buildings after the repair? Would a treadmill cardiac stress test give me a benchmark number? I just want to be able to say it was worth the $$$$ to achieve a number greater then before surgery.
Avatar m tn I've just received the test results back for my HSV 1 and HSV 2 IgG, Type Spec test. Both of them read "<0.90", so that means I'm just 0.01 below the negative benchmark. Should I retest for Herpes in a few months or am I in the clear? Just to be clear though, I usually have protected sex once a year, but one time the condom slipped off inside my partner about three years ago. I've had previous tests that shown up as negative, but somehow I stay paranoid, please help!
Avatar n tn reasoning, and more by repeating things immediately, 15 minutes later, half hour later, little puzzles and test to test your ability to sort things and solve problems. That test takes a few hours.
Avatar m tn how long is 100% conclusive for test result since last exposure? 6 weeks or 3 months? Some doctor said 6 weeks is 100% conclusive. Some doctor said 6 weeks is not enough, 3 months is 100% conclusive. Which one is correct?
Avatar m tn Hello, I would like to understand the conclusive for HSV I and II test during 88 days. Herpes Simple type 1 - 0.17 Herpes Simple type 2 - 0.42 Result benchmark: Negative lower than 0.90 Equivocal 0.91-0.99 Positive more than 1.00 Now is 114 days, should i retest it or move on? Thanks!
Avatar f tn The doctor will be concerned with your present symptoms, and you should tell the doctor about the previous test. The first test will serve as a benchmark. By all means, tell your doctor at once.
Avatar m tn I've got duo tests on 6th week,8th week,10th week,12th week and 14th week, all of which turn to be negative. However,I am still scared,I am really concerned whether it will turn to be positive later.I've unfortunately searched out some news that someone did break the very conservative benchmark of three months 1.Is there any possibility that my will result will later change to pos? 2.How can completely get hiv out of my mind and live a normal life????
Avatar n tn This is not the doctors form, If you want to post on there it will cost money. Your 13 week test is conclusive and no more testing is needed.
Avatar m tn We both had been tested in the past 6 months, and we both were clean on the standard STD swab test; neither of us had new partners. Nonetheless, two weeks later I had a painful feeling when I urinated. I went to the doctor, and I was tested and diagnosed with chlamydia. My partner was tested for HSV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. She came back positive for chlamydia as well. She was not tested for HIV.
Avatar f tn 3-5 days it the benchmark! You are almost there. Normal depends on so many things. Your brain needs time to heal. The pills have been doing the job of your brain. your brain needs time to figure out that it has to start working again. Are you doing the Thomas Recipe??
Avatar f tn Sorry I omitted a question that I meant to ask when you mentioned a benchmark test to gauge whether I have had HSV-1 since childhood. I took a full panel test for everything a month ago (before exposure) and HSV-1 and 2 came back negative. Because of this, I would almost surely have a noticeable outbreak correct? From what I have read on the forum, it sounds like if you have HSV-1 or 2 then you may have a milder outbreak or be asymptomatic because your body has already developed antibodies.
Avatar f tn Hi Everyone, hope ya'll are feeling as well as can be expected. I received 5 week tests and they're a little confusing because the 2 week test was a PCR and showed an almost 4 log drop and the 5 week test is a TMA and still shows detectable at 138. After that first huge drop I'm surprised I'm not detectable. It seems the little buggers are digging their heels in. Also, WBC is 3.1, hemoglobin 10.9, absolute eosinophils are low at 12.
Avatar f tn The basic parameter are: 1. How much does it bother you. If you are 20/25 and an airline pilot and are going to lose your job that might justify proceeding, if you are 20/50 functioning well and it doesn't bother you not much case to proceed. 2. If there is high grade traction on the macula and the risk of a full thickness hole is significant then surgery is usually recommended. Most ERMs are mild and do not need surgery.
Avatar m tn Group: First thank u for your responses to my itchy scalp. Nioxin and Coconut oil wonderful. Perplexed. I have responded well to treatment and have been undected from the beginning of testing and remained that way for every other lab.I have 4 more weeks of Friday Night Shots to go. I have used the test <50 as my benchmark. I know there are test that go to lower levels. I have been undected all this time, I tell myself on bad sx days suck it up ur doing good test show that.
188761 tn?1584567620 I have already consulted my primary care about this today about 3 hours back and he has recommended a urine sugar test as the glucose level in her blood is not very high but pretty much in control. However, slightly above the diabetes benchmark. But, the glucose level in her urine is high and it shows some thing like "++++" on her reports. I am very concerned if it has some thing to do with the end stage renal disease / Kidney failure. My question to you is - 1.
Avatar m tn But in the meantime, while you wait for a sleep test or to see a doc to figure out what might be doing this to your memory, let us say you know on your own that you don't sleep very well. I can suggest a couple easy things you can do to try to clear this up: One is to exercise to where you break a sweat at least three or four times weekly, this helps release tension and also helps a person sleep better. Two is to make your sleeping room very comfortable...
Avatar f tn This is a very difficult question to answer because so many factors are involved. However, if the factors are there, then the disease can progress quite quickly. I've had a blockage form from 0 to 99% within a matter of 3 months. However, don't use this as a benchmark for yourself, because you are still young and this is highly unlikely.
Avatar f tn Well according to him, it is a natural way to slowly start inducing labour once you have passed the 'safe' benchmark of 36 weeks because during climax the uterus contracts. I'm not sure if it works to be honest with you, but I had three very very quick and relatively painless births by following his advice.
Avatar m tn Peronally, I would test again at week 4 (day before fifth injection), simply because it's a benchmark. Then (assuming UND at week 4) week 8 (optional) but definitely test at week 12. Beyond that, my doc tests VL monthly but I found that too stressful. A good compromise might be to test at weeks 18, 24, 36 and EOT, assuming you went 48 weeks. You'd have blood drawn for the EOT test six days after your last Peg injection.
Avatar f tn Test at 4 weeks with a DUO and then at 3 months for a final test. The risk was low.
