Avatar m tn It seems more like Parkinsons than PSP, due to the on-again and off- again nature of the freezing of gait. I don't know a lot about it and so be sure to ask your doctor again, but I think that in Parkinsons, freezing of the gait happens occasionally and more often when the brain is processing a lot of things at once (for example, being in darkness AND having to remember where the furniture is in an unfamiliar room AND walking too).
901807 tn?1287015788 ) I have looked up the PSP on Ebay to see how much the systems are going for at http://video-games.shop.ebay.com/Systems-/139971/i.html?_nkw=psp&_catref=1&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m282 They have just recently came out with a new PSP, the Sony PSP go, so I don't really know how much people would be willing to pay for it. I wish you the best of luck with selling it. I hope you will be able to receive the price you want for it.
Avatar f tn Another tough call. I currently play games on a PSP, PS2, Xbox, and the computer. I wouldn't give any one of 'em up either. I love my PSP...great graphics, portable, great when someone's watchin' the t.v. and I want to play a game that's not on the computer. I have always been a Sony-person, so I love my PS2 and the majority of my games are PS2s.
1658667 tn?1310091382 I had trouble finding words, remembering things and having "delays" in my memory. I think it is most noticeable in my typing. I'm used to typing all day long and there are days that I find myself having to re-edit my writing over and over and over again. I'm also usually very articulate but during bad times, not so much. I had a mini-relapse about a month ago.
500374 tn?1210071413 Some times he would get confused about where he was at but all that is fine now. Just do memory games with your mom, buy memory game puzzles, do things that stimulate the brain. Get them brain cells connected again! Good luck to you and I hope your mom a speedy recovery!
Avatar f tn Not that I would wish any one on this post, especially you Dave, to have memory problems, but at least I feel more assured that it is normal. Thanks for responding.
Avatar n tn One is if you have hypothyroid or Hashimoto's disease, which both mean your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormone, and thus you can get that collection of problems. So, visiting an endocrinologist and getting your thyroid tested is how to find out if it's your thyroid doing all this to you. Two is if you are taking some sort of medication that is giving you these as side effects, so you would review any drug you're on and see if you need to have it changed.
Avatar f tn For the past month I've been having right upper arm pain.I also had slight upper arm pain in my left arm but its NOT a problem like my right arm and it's basically gone, just thought I'd mention it. The pain has changed a little this week because now I feel it radiating down into my forearm, into my hand.. My upper arm mainly hurts and has a sharp pain when I move my arm using my upper-arm but there is a constant dull ache in my forearm. Heat and cold don't help.
Avatar m tn I would like to know also, was on antidepressants a few years ago an since then my memory has gone down hill.
1260255 tn?1288654564 I've read people mentioning memory problems, but have not seen one type of memory problem discussed. Do any of you have problems where your memory does not store information? There are numerous occasions when I have absolutely no recall of conversations. This happened several weeks ago when my son called me at work. He told me that the grill was corroded at the bottom. I have no recall of this whatsoever, but his girlfriend was sitting next to him and vouches for him.
Avatar f tn I have the exact problem. I have ADHD. I dont remember a lot before the age of 13, from then I had to mostly relearn everything I had learned in my younger years. Now I find it hard to remember anything I read, listen to, or try and study. I feel lost and confused since I am only 19 with this type of problem.
Avatar f tn I have FM for over 12 years now, I've read numerous books, I belong to the National Fibromyalgia Network, The Fibromyalgia Association, and follow the latest research on many aspects of FM. These include, medical and pharmaceutical research. There is NO evidence that people with FM have brains that age faster. There is a neurological aspect to FM that can affect our brains. Our neurotransmitters may not be firing right to put it simply.
Avatar f tn Of course you were depressed, you were having problems with attention in class, focusing on homework, and yet all the other kids were carefree. You came so close to graduating; so I wonder if it might boost your self-confidence to get your G.E.D., then maybe you could take some evening community college courses in something you're interested in, which might lead to a better job with better pay. President Woodrow Wilson had dyslexia.
Avatar m tn I developed my current problems in April of 2008. Seven Doctors later, still no answers..and no mention of PSP,or any of the other things you mentioned. So I'll keep trying to find a solution until I run out of money.
Avatar m tn It sounds like you may be having some work problems. That can cause stress and the memory problems too.
676143 tn?1312941771 So does anyone else have problems with memory lately? I feel like the baby is sucking my brain away. I keep forgetting so many little things. Luckily, it hasn't gotten me in to too much trouble yet - but one of these days I am going to forget something really important!
Avatar m tn Hi, Thanks AJ, maybe Eye strain(8 hrs each day on computer + tv and computer at home and psp lol cinema), not allergies. I am ok...guess was extra worried yesterday.
Avatar n tn I have been suffering from BACKWARDS FALLING, DIZZINESS, MEMORY INSTABILITY AND EYE ISSUES LIKE DOUBLE VISION. I'd enjoy hearing responses from anyone involved with this disease, including care takers.
751951 tn?1406632863 Looking around, I came across something called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP. Might fit a lot of my symptomology, but I'm just studying it so far & not at all convinced. There's a PSP.org site that tells as much as I've found. Anyone heard of it?
1399170 tn?1333845258 Hi, My name is Mike, and I'm 15 years old. For the past few years I have been experiencing memory problems. I don't forget serious things like names, just small things like homework, things I've said a few days before, even things I ate on the same day sometimes.
414131 tn?1202530891 I am experiencing various problems mostly with memory. I am 49 and was diagnosed a year ago with diabetes. My A1C was 6.5. I was very tired. I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. All I had to do is sit down and start to relax. My brain was not working so well either. My memory was becoming almost a thing of the past. I was having what I call random access bad sectors. It would strike randomly and I never knew if I would recover what I just forgot.
Avatar f tn I read stories of patients with functional disorders but none of them seemed to match what I was experiencing. While searching online I stumbled across a page on FTD and PSP, and saw that the list of symptoms were a much closer match. From then on I have been more or less convinced that I have some form of FTD. I wrote to the neurologist with my concerns but did not get a reply.
Avatar m tn Memory problems and/or "brain fog" are a very common symptom of hypo. However, as you mention, other scripts, etc. can also be to blame. If you'd post your most recent FT3, FT4 and TSH with reference ranges (ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report), we can take a look and see if you look like your meds are well adjusted for you. Do you have other hypo symptoms as well? What thyroid meds do you take and dose? What other meds are you taking?
804276 tn?1480858056 i have had really bad memory problems for most of my life and was wondering if my conditions could cause this. i have points in my life, many, that i just don't remember at all and they aren't bad situations. everything from what i ate yesterday to a family member coming to visit from out of town, years ago, but i don't remember it ever happening. i'm so afraid of alzheimers when i get older but i don't think my memory problems fits alzheimers.
963268 tn?1312900315 I have mobility problems, and I've had cognitive problems - of the two, I'd much rather have problems with mobility. Although it makes things tough sometimes!
