1399170 tn?1333845258 Hi, My name is Mike, and I'm 15 years old. For the past few years I have been experiencing memory problems. I don't forget serious things like names, just small things like homework, things I've said a few days before, even things I ate on the same day sometimes.
Avatar n tn I have also had memory problems. I had full-day neuropsychological testing and my memory and processing speed were 30 points below my average IQ. I also had an MRI, which showed no abnormalities. The headaches, as I mentioned before were initially fairly mild, with only the right (occipital?) area of my head affected, as they have worsened I can feel the pain down the right side of my neck, extending down my cartoid? artery and in my ear.
Avatar f tn Hello. I am a 17 year old female with allergies, and I am and have had recurring headaches for at leats 6 months (probably longer). I do not thin these headaches are symptoms of PMS, for they occur throughout the month. As a matter of fact, I have one know, and my period ended over a week ago. Sometimes it feels like the inside of my head is throbbing, and sometimes the pain is on one side of my head-it was just on the right side, but now I feel like its swithced to the left center of my head.
Avatar f tn I have had more pain and memory lapses and headaches and focusing issues then I care to deal with .
Avatar f tn I have been having bad headaches for the last couple years, and balance problems and dizziness at times. my vision isnt as good as it use to be, I sometimes feel like my memory isnt very good either. my last CT scan of my head was about 20 years ago. would I benefit from one at this time?
Avatar f tn Also noticing memory problems. Anybody have any ideas? Sensory preception problems have been mentioned to me. Going to U of M not to much info coming.....
Avatar f tn There is void signal in the caroid and vertebrobasilar systems. I dont understand what the white masses are. Do they effect your memory? My memory has been getting terrible lately. I cant remember where I put things, What someone just told me. What I am suppose to be doing. Sometimes I get completely confused on where I am even going. It has been getting really bad lately. I dont want to be around people, I cant hardly keep a steady conversation because of it.
Avatar m tn It sounds like you may be having some work problems. That can cause stress and the memory problems too.
Avatar f tn I have the exact problem. I have ADHD. I dont remember a lot before the age of 13, from then I had to mostly relearn everything I had learned in my younger years. Now I find it hard to remember anything I read, listen to, or try and study. I feel lost and confused since I am only 19 with this type of problem.
Avatar n tn One is if you have hypothyroid or Hashimoto's disease, which both mean your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormone, and thus you can get that collection of problems. So, visiting an endocrinologist and getting your thyroid tested is how to find out if it's your thyroid doing all this to you. Two is if you are taking some sort of medication that is giving you these as side effects, so you would review any drug you're on and see if you need to have it changed.
676143 tn?1312941771 So does anyone else have problems with memory lately? I feel like the baby is sucking my brain away. I keep forgetting so many little things. Luckily, it hasn't gotten me in to too much trouble yet - but one of these days I am going to forget something really important!
1260255 tn?1288654564 I've read people mentioning memory problems, but have not seen one type of memory problem discussed. Do any of you have problems where your memory does not store information? There are numerous occasions when I have absolutely no recall of conversations. This happened several weeks ago when my son called me at work. He told me that the grill was corroded at the bottom. I have no recall of this whatsoever, but his girlfriend was sitting next to him and vouches for him.
Avatar f tn I have FM for over 12 years now, I've read numerous books, I belong to the National Fibromyalgia Network, The Fibromyalgia Association, and follow the latest research on many aspects of FM. These include, medical and pharmaceutical research. There is NO evidence that people with FM have brains that age faster. There is a neurological aspect to FM that can affect our brains. Our neurotransmitters may not be firing right to put it simply.
Avatar f tn Not that I would wish any one on this post, especially you Dave, to have memory problems, but at least I feel more assured that it is normal. Thanks for responding.
Avatar m tn And I feel like I have forgotten everything I spent the past 3-4 years paying to learn ! I was an honours student in undergrad and never had memory problems before. I am also having huge problems concentrating on what people are saying to me. It's like I am not listening no matter how hard I try to listen my brain wanders off into zombie land. And I am only 29. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to regain one's memory and concentration ?
Avatar f tn Hi, I too have had this issue pre and post op, and find it is more the short term memory that is the problem....when I was still working, I made a list of things I had to do at work on Monday's and put a time table that they had to be done, and did so for each day of the week, I also had my cheat sheets for the diff computer spreadsheets so I had a reference and by using it this helped my memory, so for things that have to be done daily a check list out in plain view is helpful....
4515819 tn?1355769164 2011 and I got diagnosed with psudotumor cerebri. Does that disease effect the memory in any way possible? Anyone know? If so please, please, please let me know? I've been trying to get an answer no one's giving me an answer.
Avatar n tn I’ve experienced neurological symptoms (altered sensations in lower limbs, pain behind eyes, confusion and memory loss, absent plantar reflexes) for 16 years on and off but they never progressed and some went away and I’ve led a normal life. However almost 2 weeks ago I started with daily headaches (the odd migraine too) and the most nasty phantom smell that is horrendous to live with (it is making me question any other smells).
1260255 tn?1288654564 I also am having difficulty with language and memory, as well as blurred/double vision and headaches. MRIs of the brain show multiple lesions (13+), but the neuro says they are not in places typical of MS, nor are they the shape of typical MS lesions. I have a hereditary clotting disorder, erratic blood pressure and I smoke and she thinks that these factors, in combination with chronic headaches could be causing both the lesions and cognitive problems.
