Avatar m tn Our whole family was certain that his heart wasn’t the only problem here. He had started to have serious short-term memory loss. His speech was changed, he talked more in a bright pitched voice and he was slurring a lot, almost as if he was drunk. His body language was slow and he could not walk properly. The doctors wouldn’t listen and told us that he was just tired. With time his heart got better and is now fully recovered.

My question is could the buildup of medications etc cause him to now have memory loss, language skills loss and tremors in his right hand. He walked in to the hospital on crutches and now is dependent on a wheelchair.

When i saw my doctor, he told me it was a bladder attack and the memory loss would come back shortly. Since then I had another set back that I got extremely dizzy and really thirsty and I had to go to the hospital to be treated. Avatar m tn ve been having symptoms of sharp chest pains,dizziness,feeling faint,memory loss,stomach cramps,severe headaches. A recent MRI of my heart was within normal range although it revealed a slight enlargement of the right ventricle and the tiscupid valve had mild regurgitation of 21ml and 16%. A 24hr holter monitor was within normal varients although it stated a tendancy toward bradycardia. My heart rate was between 40 and 128 and was less than 60 ---43% of the time.

MRI shows "multiple periventricular focci of increased T2 FLAIR signal suspect demyelating process possible migranous pallor. Neurologist did LP and EVP and said they were normal except Sjogren's antibodies were high with no explanantion why and she stated no follow up was necessary, not even repeat MRI in a year. Avatar n tn He did a workup and sent me for an MRI and an ENG. My MRI was clear . My symptoms were extreme fatigue, confusion,memory loss, and vertigo. I now have developed numbness/tinglin in my left hand. I wanted to know is an ENG used to rule out MS or am I dealing with something else here. He said my vertigo was caused by my migraines and has put me on a beta blocker and it has helped a little but not alot. He also wants me to take prednisone for 9 days.

Avatar f tn It mentions lacunar infarcts in right cerebellar lobe and loss of normal flow void within the distal left vertebral artery and minimal white matter disease likely due to chronic small vessel ischemic disease. I have been pushing for a referral to a neurologist, but feel that I must fight the GP for every little thing, including the MRI's, which I paid for outside the medical system. Are these findings actually "negative" or am is my concern warranted?

Avatar m tn in comparisson to short termmemory loss and how to overcome short term memory loss without using a pill but with FAITH IN INDEPENDANCE and organizing the electrical synapses that our brains use most frequently/ rely on the most frequently.... you might need to forget some of your most valuable memories to be able to regain your short term memory... Thats how computers work... when my computer starts running out of memory it gets a case of short term memory loss on a monthly basis!
