Avatar f tn Before this incident, I had a fantastic memory. Since then, my short-term memory is horrible. Some examples are the inability to remember the events of the previous day, forgetting appointments, forgetting what I was about to say, and the worst one was when speaking to my mother, I forgot what our conversation was about when I was in the middle of a sentence. I have also noticed and decrease in patience.
Avatar f tn A friend of mine was rushed to the hospital because he had sudden hearing loss, couldn't talk very well, slurring his words, couldn't write. A couple of weeks prior to that he was battling pneumonia and kidney stones. The docs say his brain scans are fine and they don't have any idea what is wrong with him. he's slowly getting his hearing back and has no memory of his episode. any ideas of what is wrong with him?
Avatar f tn He is on pills for this as well as pills for high blood pressure and cholestrol. Over the past few years he has had a serious loss in memory, has trouble rememering things he told you or you told him hours earlier. He also blacks out and gets lite headed when standing up too fast. He has been tested for everything and no doctor has found anything wrong with him. He is getting worse by the day.
Avatar m tn I'd say, AVOID IT! if you really really can. It can give you memory loss. It only wipes a bit of your memory. So no wonder you won't worry as much and have depression because you don't what there is to worry about. Shocking the brain isn't good! I'd say, seek professional help and take meds. Unless you are really like hanging by a thread on life. Take care!

1580703 tn?1651904887 Hi! I have central sleep apnea/asthma which started it seems 2 years ago with chronic fatigue and O2 levels of about 73% (my FEV1 scores are also 73%). I'm worried my brain cells are dying and I'm having severe chronic fatigue, memory/ADD loss, headaches and sometimes vertigo. I have a neu cyst in my clivus. I've tried bipap with O2 but it doesn't work that well and I'm getting 0% stage 3/4 sleep. What caused my sleep apnea, memory/ADD problem and what can I possibly do?

And where I put stuff, I am really starting to worry about this, along with all the other things, I am worried about. maybe this is just part of my OCD. I tend to worry about everything and keep stressing about it.
Avatar m tn re in an alcohol/substance related group - memory loss can be associated with drinking. It can be associated with many other things, too - from different medications, mental or cognitive health conditions, and even sometimes stress. I think it is very important that you speak to a doctor who can survey your health & lifestyle profile to work with what is known - and other factors that may not be known.

Avatar m tn I have had sleep apnea for many years and recently I have been experiencing short periods of memory loss . I will be doing something then I will forget what I was doing or where I am . It only lasts for 5 to 15 seconds then I am back to normal and I remember what I was doing and where I am. I am able to function during these episodes . It seems to happen when I am relaxed as apposed to when I am concentrating on something. Any idea as to what is happening ?
