About an hour later he suffered a brief episode (1-2 min) of short term memory loss. He could not remember the weekend holiday or do sums. Other than feeling cold he did not exhibit any physical symptoms. He had another episode about three weeks later. A neurologist examined him and found nothing but set up an EEG. He has had no other episodes. Any suggestions as to what to ask during/after the EEG or what the potential cause might be? Thank you.
I am advised to do some exercise but my parents don’t allow me to go to a gym. I can’t upset them as they are very ill.

This does not have any long term complications. The person just needs support from family members and has to learn to live with the memory loss.

I am a healthy 34 yr old male and I have been experiencing migraines over the last 4 months. The last 2 times I also experienced Memory Loss and slurred speach. I am unable to remember peoples names or common work terms for 20-30 minutes. My family has a history of migraines and my brother has had strokes in his late 20's. I recently stopped drinking and lost over 30 lbs. The migraines started after this. Would this change anything in my body to bring them on?

My 60 years old mother has shown some sign of memory loss occasionally. Her MRI report is pasted below. What do points 1 & 2 mean?
1. Few punctate T2 / FLAIR hyperintense lesions are seen in the frontal subcortical white matter without any restricted diffusion on DW images - ? clinical significance.
2. There is generalized prominence of ventricular system, cisternal & sulcal spaces.
3.The rest of the parenchyma is unremarkable. Bilateral basal ganglia and thalami are unremarkable.
It also takes a while for the body to adjust to the medications; they have to change the medications to wean a person off of the ventilator, from what I understand.
My Dad got confused and agitated in ICU after his heart surgery (triple bypass, aneurysm repair, and aortic valve replacement--all in one surgery.) The outbreaks I received were indeed herpetic, with the telltale tingle, and responded to 2000mg Valtrex, also leaving various scars on my lips.

My question really is about memory loss. I am only 24 years and I feel like I am too young to be experiencing this kind of memory loss; I don't know what you want to call it but I just think maybe it's getting worse?
I always had a little hard time remembering things but recently I think it has reached a level now where it is impacting me and my surrondings. Less than a week ago, I lost my iphone, (or so I thought) when going at the post office.
t know if I want to go through all the trouble. But I will talk to a doctor. I believe it might be stress... with a toddler, a 5 month old, first year of college, work, never being able to see my husband, and being only 19. But out of curiosity, what are the possible outcomes from a cat scan? I don't want to find out i have a tumor or something.... that scares me.
I have never heard of any antidepressants being associated with memory loss, but everyone reacts differently to these meds so I suppose anything is possible.
Are you sure this memory loss is not due to another medical condition you may not know about?
If it makes you feel any better, I used to take Effexor XR at 300Mgs a day for 4 years and did not have any lasting memory problems.
I can say that now that I am 40 I have noticed that I have a little trouble remembering many things.
However, more importantly, since your memory loss may or may not be related to the Celexa, it could be that your memory loss is due to something else.
Plz let your Doc know about your memory loss before thinking about quitting Celexa cold turkey.
Example: your memory problems could be from your actual Depression not being taken care of.
When I had my 1st Major Depression, I had a form of memory loss problem, and that was BEFORE I took any meds.
