memory loss prescription drugs

i have been having some memory loss since my crash but i dont know if it is from medication cos i was only taking warfarin. at least that's all i remember taking.

I am kind of worried, about him, since he is one of my best friends. He does do drugs once in awhile, and he drinks. Does anyone know how much of this comes from drugs, and how much of it is from the seizure medication?

I do know from experience with these type of drugs like Xanax, Valium,and other drugs like them seem to cause a short term memory loss. But that was with me it could be different with you but the reason I ask that question is because I had the same problems with certain medications. Research what medications you take because that might be the reason why you are losing train of thought and memory loss. I don't know if I helped I just know what I experienced on certain medications.

My husband has been on the treatment for almost seven months he has another five to go. Does the memory loss get better after the treatment has ended. What does anyone suggest he can do vitamin wise and food wise etc to feel better.

The memory loss started about half an hour before test.From the time I left home.I had been asking where I was going, When the Docter.asked me for the day,date & year I could not answer, I recovered after about 5 hrs.I can't remember what happened during that period.I had a similar episode in 1990.The nouro-surgeon & hesrt specislist at tht time coud not diagnose,It may have been an allergy.

If all brain related causes (transient ischemic attack, disorders of hypothalamus, dementia and multiple sclerosis, head injury etc) are ruled out then Vit B12 deficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorders (by sleep studies), depression, use of certain drugs, and certain types of seizures (where memory loss is the predominant symptom) should be investigated for as the cause of memory loss.

Does anyone or has anyone experienced memory loss over pain killers. I feel I am losing my mind half the time. I can't remember what I was about to do, or what I need to do. And where I put stuff, I am really starting to worry about this, along with all the other things, I am worried about. maybe this is just part of my OCD. I'll be watching a tv show, it goes to commercial and I have absolutely no idea what program I was watching. my friend has been playing with the pills and has got some memory loss larissa said that playing with pills you can get seizures total memorie loss and other problems I don't understand why pills are such a big deal to take

Yes, this is very true and a very unfortunate thing for today's society.. (By the way I am new here)......I work in a hospital where I see tons of people who come in with prescription drug addictions and the internet is one of the first places they can go to now when their docs will no longer fill RXs. From vicodin, sleeping pills, Viagra, tylenol #3, oxycotin, weight loss pills, steroids, it's all readily available for anyone.

My first thoughts are this is med realted so it would be a good idea to ask the Doctor prescribing them about the side effects indeed you can google to see if they are compatible with each other , it would also account for the memory loss it is well know many drugs do cause this ..check this out first see if the dose is too high and if you can change them or stop them ...

Your panel did not give a conclusive answer to his question as to possible memory less due to usage of this drug. So, I am asking this same question again. Is there memory loss due to usage of this drug? I have had a prescription for atenolol for the past ten years to control blood pressure. And, I am experiencing some minor memory loss. I will not give my age because that may give you a reason for attributing memory loss to some other reason.
