Hi, I have been on accutane for about alittle over a month. My dose is 20mg per day. I noticed about my fifth week using it that I developed a rash on the top of both my hands. It looks like little dots/pimples. They don't itch or burn. I thought it was ezema but I don't know. Is this a side effect from the accutane? Does anyone know how to treat this rash? I never had this before.
I took Accutane in the fall of 2004 and I experienced severe hair loss. (I'm a girl). My hair came out in handfulls for about 6 months. The large amount of hair that usually falls out after washing or brushing hair was falling out every half an hour if i ran my fingers through my hair. I lost about 60% of my hair. It stopped for a few months and started again for a few months to a lesser degree though. And now, 3.5 years later, it stills falls out more frequently than it should.

Weight loss is one of the side effects of taking Accutane and it may cause anorexia as well. Eat a healthy nutritious diet and consult your doctor if weight loss is a major problem. You may need to be put on some other medication for acne rather than Accutane.

Accutane has many side effects the more common side effect is patch loss of hair. once medication has stopped , most people regain hair loss and other side effects. i would consult with the doctor and tell him whas going on.
jus t to let you know my story, i was a life long sufferer, i am 33 years old now, very oily skin and very pale. I have tried everyting from over the counter to medication nothing has worked. i am 33 up until this january i was losing hope, i was about to try accutane.

Alright, I am almost half way through accutane. I hit another bump. I came down with a high fever, terrible head ache, chills, dry lips, and eyes. Could this be symptomatic? My skin is clear. I no longer feel lethargic. I do feel strange feelings in my arms and legs. I fear stroke or heart attack. Is it possible? I feel unease at Times. Do I have any reason to be concerned?
I asked my doctor about it and he said he did not know anything about accutane causing hair loss. I have researched it and found that it does. I was just wondering if it is in my case. When it thins your hair, does it do it all over, or just at the middle and top, like normal male pattern baldness. I am on effexor and am experiencing memory loss. I have been on it for years at 225 mg I am a practicing bulimic, recovered alcoholic, ex smoker and exercise regularly. I am 61 and eat right in the morning and day, but the evenings are always shot. my question is does antidepressive medicine cause memory loss?
Depression seems to have a big impact on memory. Have you recently changed your dose of antidepressant or other meds? If you can't remember your childhood and you could before then it seems maybe more than medication. It sounds like you need to get an MRI or CT scan of the head to make sure nothing is wrong. You may want to see a neurologist but your family practise doc might be able to get started with some of the neurological tests. I would really get on this ASAP.
In 2007 he had a hip replacement done and ended up having 3 operations within one week because of complications. My question is could the buildup of medications etc cause him to now have memory loss, language skills loss and tremors in his right hand. He walked in to the hospital on crutches and now is dependent on a wheelchair.

when my computer starts running out of memory it gets a case of short term memory loss on a monthly basis! i compress all the old files/ delete some of them i dont need that essay i wrote last year anymore i just give it away.... i know its some where with someone but im not going to worry about some nonsense from a few years ago...i just hide it.... its all i can do..... what can i say? people make mistakes and when that happens the mistakes get compressed and kept safe out of reach....

You would have to ask her Doctor that one, is she on meds as I do know that some have an effect on short term memory, what is she taking, ask her Doctor if the meds could be the reason, maybe her dosage,has she been upset maybe suffering from anxiety?
Hello, I was diagnosed with syringomyelia and severe and mod stenosis. I've been doing rather well considering that they told me I would be in a wheel chair by now. Anyway I wondered if anyone else with this diagnosis has had problems with memory? My Nurse practitioner said it's normal then my wife looked it up and couldn't find anything on it. The memory loss that is. Nor could I. Any one know or have information on this topic?
